My Think Pad X1 so far works good. I am very disappointed that it came without touch screen. It has windows 10 but without touch screen. I think that for the price I paid touch screen should have come with it.

Everything is great but battery would not last as advertised. I would get about 6 hours, of typical use of spreadsheets, e-mail, web browsing, etc, out of the up to 15 hours that are advertised. It may probably be due to the ultra hi-resolution display included in my model.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This laptop is just perfect for work and personal use. It's travel-friendly and reliable. The display is so crisp and clear. The battery life is perfect for my use. I'm in the IT field, we recommend this laptop when our clients have the budget versus other brands. I finally have one and it has been a smooth transition from the T460.
I configured this laptop for highest specs, i7 with 16GB ram and NVME SSD. Unfortunately the SSD is not as fast as I was expecting. Looking into Device manager I seem to have a different SSD model to my colleageus, who's is much faster. Knowing that I got a slower version but paid the same is not great. There is no way for us to check before purchasing. Why don't all models have the good SSD?
Other than that, the laptop is great but could have been a few hundred cheaper with the slower SSD.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Favorite laptop that I have ever owned. Keyboard is the highlight for me. It is just such a joy to write on. The Dolby Vision screen is very nice to watch video on, and the brightness allows you to do work in any lighting conditions. I also appreciate the higher resolution. Battery performance is good. Camera cover should be standard on every device, nice feature.
Now I want to state some negatives as I hope they will be addressed by Lenovo before I rebuy when the time comes!
Trackpad! It is pretty bad. Too small, clumsy feel. Feels loose in the lower part whenever you touch it. I think it is time to abandon the pointing stick and make the trackpad larger and more premium quality. The stick's physical buttons take up too much real estate (maybe keep the stick and integrate touch buttons into the trackpad, which activate after pointing stick is used). Trackpads are just much more efficient to the point it is not worth the sacrifice. I know some people love it, and a lot of bloggers would write an angry post, but for $2,500 you should at least make it a paid option.
The Fn/Ctrl placement. Just flip it guys...
Other than that, a perfect laptop for me. And despite the trackpad issue I would not change my decision to buy it.
