I did fairly extensive research on laptops prior to purchasing the X1 Carbon. I was upgrading from a chromebook that was 11.6" and I liked how portable and light it was. My list consisted of the Dell XPS, the Lenovo X1 Carbon, and the Lenovo Extreme. After watching all the video reviews on You Tube and reading all the comparisons online I then went to several different stores to compare. The Dell was marked off the list because the camera was in a terrible location and the 13" XPS felt heavier than the X1 Carbon. I was not able to see the Extreme in person, but the X1 Carbon at 14" with an I7 CPU and 16 gigs RAM seemed like the best all around laptop. It is super light at approximately 2.7 lbs the 14" screen is still very portable but large enough to work on as a daily computer. The keyboard is the best keyboard on the market hands down. I have only owned this computer for 1 week but so far it has been great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last week for work, cool and great laptop. This is my 5th Thinkpad during last 12 years. Easy to work, carry seldom fails. Just today 7/1/2019 had first issue, unable to install western digital 'Backup' software, same works in another Windows 10 laptop. Ticket opened with WDC. Still i prefer to 4 stars as I know this is machine works great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my grandson in college. He needed a high-powered laptop for his animation work, and he found this extremely easy to set up and very powerful. He is delighted, and therefore - so am I!
