[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good Laptop, very light, would have been great if track pad is windows precision instead of synaptics . Hearing fan noise every time I install something which I think not required (may be because of Core i7), also speakers are not so great, I think they have changed speaker position in 2019 model.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Computer works great and is the perfect size. Occasionally it drops wifi connection for not apparent reason.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sleek Laptop with easy to use functional design. This laptop is a replacement for a Lenovo Twist which was great design as well. This laptop has wonderful 14" screen and easy to use as a laptop on the road or in the office.
Glad I bought this machine and paid the extra buck

I have owned this computer for a couple of months. This computer has been a joy. I usually use my computer in excess of 10 to 12 hours per day and have to do a recharge when I use it for that long a period. I like the keyboard. It has individual keys for home, end, page up and page down. I like to use keys rather than a mouse for these actions and this machine satisfies that need. The keyboard is different from other Lenovo keyboards and takes some getting used to.
Performance has been as expected... relatively quick. Good graphics. Very, very light. I had a 15", relatively light laptop and this 14" screen blows it away. Great for travel and use away from home.
The bluetooth mouse is OK. There is a lag when I begin using it. It freezes sometimes but only for a short time... seconds. Annoying but acceptable. Barely. I'm looking at getting a mouse that uses a dongle.
I don't listen to music so the built in speakers are fine. The earbuds work very well and I use that when I want to watch a video.
I'm using the fingerprint ID and it works fairly well. I need to be careful how I place my finger on the pad.
I like the screen. I used a Lenovo 300 nit (?) screen previously. This is a 500 nit screen and it's much better when I want to use it out doors. It's one of the reasons that I chose this unit. The charging time is fairly quick and the connector is comfortable when I'm using this on my easy chair.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous laptop was also a Lenovo which was my first ever Lenovo purchase. I was so pleased with that laptop that I decided to purchase another one. After doing some research, I landed on the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon as one of the better business laptops. After owning it for about a month now, I must say that it is the best laptop I've ever owned.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The advertised specs are not quite what they are. Best battery life is actually around 9-10 hours, not bad but I specifically bought this laptop because it said it should last about 15 hours. The display should be about 14 inches but it's actually about 12 1/2..
First time turning it on, the audio wasn't working so I had to restart the computer and that fixed the problem. On the second day of using it, the trackpad was already funny. The cursor doesn't start where I place it on the screen so when I highlight text I have to eye it in order to adjust where the cursor should actually start highlighting. Again, simple restart fixed the problem. I guess I just found it annoying that I already had to deal with such minor issues first few days of using it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
