Overall I’m very happy with my purchase. I love the thinkpad’s light weight, the UHD screen and and the keyboard. The only downsides are the trackpad, which is not as responsive as my MacBook, and the tinny sounding speakers.

I bought a ThinkPad X1 Carbon (6th) Generation with everything upgraded. The top of the line upgraded monitor has a very distinct 1/2" or so area of lighter banding at both sides of the screen near the bezel right out of the box. I am sure that Lenovo will take care of it, but their quality control is not very good. I don't know how they let this even get out of their plant. Very sloppy. Now I have to jump through a bunch of hoops to fix it.
