[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As user moving back from MacBook, overall, this device is fantastic, light and great texture when touching upon. The system runs great on the chip set. The matte screen is so comfy to look at. Best is the keyboard, although the red dot is too rigid to use.
Super thin, light, powerful. What else do you need

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worth the premium price. Thin, light, and seemingly durable (have yet to abuse it). Great performance, running Linux just perfectly for me. All the ports I need while maintaining a ridiculously thin profile. Professional matte finish. Love it.
Received with broken screen, broken headphone jack, creaking, and overall terrible build quality.

Well as unfortunate as it is, I was very excited to order the Thinkpad X1 Carbon. Within 2 weeks of receiving this beautiful packaged laptop, it refused to charge. It eventually would not turn on, it was dead as a doornail. I googled it and tried everything, no response. I ensured I had the latest updated battery firmware and I did. I reset the computer, I went through a sequence of events of resetting and pressing the on button a number of times...made no difference. No response! Eventually after letting it set for a day, the laptop charged to 20%. Just enough for me to delete everything personal off it is and return to Lenovo. I was really disappointed. I owned a different Lenovo at my place of employment and after a year, I had the same problem with charging. I learned I could take it apart and unplug the internal battery and that would allow me to use it for a few hours. It was such a headache, you never knew if you would have enough power to do your job. This eventually led to the hard drive failing and replacing the laptop. Given this previous experience, I still ordered a Lenovo to only run into the same problem within 2 weeks of having the Carbon X1. Lenovo, don't know how this got through your quality check. You lost me as a customer, I ordered a Dell. :(
