[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my X-1 Carbon 6th Gen about 5 weeks ago. It is a fantastic laptop, compact, lightweight and fast. Absolutely Beautiful Display, smooth and quiet operation. I also have two X-1 Carbon 5th Gen and I love them all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago and so far very pleased with its performance. The boot up time is great, weight is good - only once I switched from the older laptop I realized what < 2.5 lbs feels like. I use it with a docking station and so far have only had one windows 'blue' screen - not sure why, but will watch for it should it happen again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Thinkpad X1 Carbon; I bought one last summer and had to give it to my daughter when she needed to travel overseas. I liked it so much that I've just purchased an identical twin.
I started using Thinkpad X-series laptops (X301), about ten years ago while working at MIT, and frankly, I've never looked back. My new X1 Carbons are the frosting on the cake; not only are they fast and reliable, but they're incredibly light too, at under 2.5lbs.
The i-5 processor, coupled with 16Gb of memory and a large, fast SSID makes for a great performance combo; as a user of CAD design software, Photoshop, etc., speed is important, and this is the fastest laptop I've ever used. What's more, the price was very competitive, unlike when I bought our first X301s.
I simply can't imagine a better combination of performance, durability, and cost. Highly recommended.
