Lightweight, fast, full of user-friendly features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Purchased this laptop about six weeks ago-full disclosure, my brother is a computer science major and configured the specs for me.
Best thing about the laptop is how light weight it is and the sleep to look. I wanted something in which the keys felt “real” and this definitely fulfills that piece. Having the fingerprint sensor is an added bonus.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thin, light, and powerful, with a great keyboard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this at Costco after seeing some very impressive online reviews. It is by far the lightest laptop I've ever owned and it is almost unbelievably thin. I am not a touch typist so the keyboard isn't as important to me as it is to others, but even I find it quite pleasant to type on. The backlighting works very well. I don't use the trackpoint nub, but I do very much like the trackpad. I bought a chromebook last year and was quite frustrated with that trackpad's lack of physical buttons. While I finally figured out how to left click, I still can't drag and drop anything with it. The Carbon has both physical buttons above the trackpad, but left and right depressable portions that perform the same function. The only thing I don't like is that I can't scroll by running two fingers down the right side. I can only use the direction arrows which is frustrating at times. All in all I highly recommend this laptop.

The keyboard is great to use but it has a taken a lot to get used to the Lenovo Ctrl/Fn keys flipped and the page down is easy to mistake for the down arrrow. The black finish does show fingerprint oils easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used Lenovo computers before as well and when I needed to buy myself a new laptop I didn't hesitate, it had to be a Lenovo and I'm happy. Battery life is very OK (don't install Google Chrome sync - this eats the battery). I had HP which had trackpoint and I never used it - somehow only Lenovo knows how to make it in a way that it's comfortable to use.

Love the feel of the keypad and its silent click; appreciate the camera slider cover--protects my privacy as well as the lens; love the speed and its storage capacity. Can't wait to discover its full potential and how it will help my daily tasks. One thing I do miss is the touch screen from my previous laptop, but I guess one has to always forfeit something.
