[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to get this ultrabook.I even paid for faster shipping super light-weight but i had heating issue, laptop would get warm so quick and it would warm up to a point that you do not want to keep it on your lap anymore. So i have returned it but as far as performance, it was sky rocketing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned several laptops over the years and have never put much stock in to the weight of them. After using the X1 for almost a month I can say that having such a lightweight laptop is a dream. It's so much nicer to use than previous laptops I've owned. I have purchased a docking station and am using this in place of a desktop. It's a laptop that doubles as a desktop PC! I highly recommend it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family has been a fan of Lenovo computers for 8 years. We have 3 Lenovo computers including a Thinkpad at home and they worked very well. Right now, I bought the 4th one! Cus I need a new one which is portable! AND! ThinkPad X1 Carbon(6th Gen) is extremely light and easy to carry! As many young people may hesitate between Carbon X1 and Mac book pro, I did consider to buy a Mac for myself, but I prefer a low-key one. For this Carbon X1, actually, it's pricy but it satisfied my need of not showing off. More importantly, I believe it to be durable. For the appearance, it's totally black. I like the simple style. My colleagues were deeply impressed at the beauty of it! Even as a girl, I still think black is a kind of elegance! I don't have my carbon X1 along with me right now. But I can attach more photos later.

The most amazing and trustable machine I have own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a prod user of Macs and Surfaces (Pro and Book) devices, but after thinking a lot about it, I switch to a X1 Carbon: can't be happier with my decision.
I use my laptop both for work and personal use, I must admit that the pen & touch of the Surface lure me at the beginning and I felt "more productive" ... after I realize that:
1. I have to be constantly upgrading because of firmware issues.
2. The pen and touch were a distraction more than an added value.
After I fire up the X1 Carbon, I inmmedatly fall in love with the keyboard: it's a pleasure to write ANYthing on this one: I even bought a Thinkpad bluetooth keyboard, because of the typing experience.
I read some reviews saying that the screen was not bright enough (in the entry level configuration): in my case, I have that screen and have no issues.
The other thing: even though it has Windows 10 installed, so far I haven't see a BSOD (It happens several time with Surface Pro 2017 and Surface Book).
The final thing: I get rid of a bag of adapters I used to carry, because I have ALL the ports I need on the chassis (both USB's & HDMI): so far, the best machine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this several weeks ago to use as my primary small office/home office computer. It has all the features and security that I need. The thunderbolt 3 connections work well to dock and run multiple monitors, all while supporting processing-intensive applications. It weighs so little that I hardly notice it in my bag on the way to distant meetings.
