[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and instantly noticed many annoying things, like a really loud fan when I'm browsing YOUTUBE.COM and when I search cortana for anything, nothing but a gray bar would show up, and videos that were paused would magically start playing on their own again...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this laptop for my college bound daughter. She appreciates the weight, solid battery life and quick access with the fingerprint reader. The screen resolution is fantastic although she has wished it were a little bit brighter on occasion. As a heavy multitasker, she hasn’t been able to slow this machine down yet so we are looking forward to it taking her through undergrad and perhaps even grad school.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Laptop is sleek, fast and sturdy. Lightweight makes it easy to carry around. A must have for a business professional particularly if you travel around.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far the x1 carbon is exactly what I was looking for. Light and fast. I haven't loaded everything I need on it just yet though. We'll see how much I enjoy it after a month or two of use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You have to love that feeling of getting a new laptop and how much faster and smoother everything becomes compared to the old one. After three years with a Dell XPS and being moderately satisfied, getting this X1 Carbon up and running has been a dream. My work utilizes ArcGIS, R and various other statistical packages that the X1 flies through with ease (while also running MS Office programs, Chrome and a variety of other programs in the background). I'm managing, archiving and analyzing large photo databases without hiccups. The performance of this machine is wonderful and a pleasure to use. I've had Lenovo thinkpads in the past and not sure why I strayed, but I won't do so again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with this purchase. Love the weight, and the speed. The fingerprint scanner is hit or miss, but i had low expectations on that anyway. The sound is great. But the mic is weird and does not sound that great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Of all the great things about this laptop (performance, build quality, keyboard) I think what I like the most is how light it is. I don’t have to worry about making my backpack too heavy that my shoulders will hurt. I barely notice it. The display is also better than anticipated. I just got the full HD display but the colors and contrast are great.
