Would love this if it was Wide Band, and why not throw the WX band in there?

We do have other MXT radios that have wideband and WX. We recommend looking into our MXT500/MXT575 if you are looking for both of those features.

MXT 400 Install in 2020 Subaru Outback center cons

Bought the mxt400 to replace the smaller mxt115 in my Subaru Outback. Like the additional power and range/clarity, but couldn’t find any obvious spots to mount due to size. Decided to customize center console storage to drop the radio vertically into the center armrest storage. Will add an rj45 extension cable and rj45 button type port that will install in the side of the center console near where the mic will mount so I don’t have to run the cord out from under the armrest to avoid pinching it.
