We’ve got quite a few 115’s and 400s great radios the range is unbelievable we use them while we farm and ranch the only feature I wish the 400 Had what is the weather band and it would’ve been nice to put the USB port on the 400 also sides that very very easy to use

Got this radio in December. I have been pleased since the install. I’m getting about 5 miles with my Jeep and a handheld walkie radio. The volume is fantastic. I purchased the external speaker and haven’t needed to instill it. Thank you MidlandUSA

I bought this MXT-400 to replace a MXT-100 that I have been using. I am a very happy camper for doing so. This MXT-400 has the power and features I like a lot. At first I was trying to use the the power supply I was using with the MXT-100 (5-amps). OK if you only want to transmit in low power mode. I switched to a 19 amp power supply and am now very happy. Love this radio.

Great radio! For anyone looking to set this up as a base station, I am using the LPX-14 as a power supply. I also wanted a mount that worked with the LPX-14 and the MXT-400. I could not find one specified for the MXT400 anywhere so I checked the dimensions and took a chance on the LPH-KEN/S from DuraComm and it works great!

The MXT400 from Midland has been a great radio so far for my overland/off road rig. I have the radio attached to the +6db gain antenna from Midland, and am able to achieve great range, even with obstructions like woods, hills, etc.
The controls on the radio are easy to use, and menus are fairly easy to navigate as well.
The radio is a little bigger than I expected from the photos (about the size of a small CB unit) but fits in my truck with no problem
