First off this is the first GMRS radio i have owned, very impressed after todays test with a friend that has the same setup... using a repeater channel in a moderately populated area with lots of trees and small elevation differences we were still able to communicate at a 12 mile distance very clearly....more testing to come....very happy with my purchase!!

With what is happening in the world right now with the virus ect.,I think it's important to have radio's like there in case cell service goes down. I purchased two MXT400's,one for the vehicle and one as a base at home.I also purchased a pair of X-Talkers T77's for the kids. They are working very well with longer ranges than a CB.Easy to use too.

I bought the MXT400 radio a week ago and paired it with the GXT1000. I was pleasantly surprised as to how much range and clarity was achieve. And it was easy to install in my 4Runner. Looks great, too.

Really impressed with the MXT400. My neighbor and I both purchased these radios for our weekend Ranger rides in the mountains. Excellent way to communicate when someone wants to make a pitstop. I now plan on adding 1 to my camper for a base unit.

What a great product! Had it for a bit so far, haven’t had the pleasure of using it much with the whole covid19 but I will say that the couple of times I’ve used it it’s been great. Crisp sound and good coverage. The functionality of the mxt400 is super easy to use. Highly recommend.

Avid off-road we here. Handhelds are weak CB is finicky. This GMRS radio is powerful and strong. Very clear and has excelllent range. We were able to talk 3 miles in the city, and one of the trucks was inside a garage.
