This is a great radio which I have configured as a portable unit that I can take in any vehicle, even on my ATV. Using the MXTA25 ghost antenna, everything fits into a small padded bag.

I purchased this unit 4 months ago and it exceeds expectations! I'm involved with several 4x4 clubs and outdoor enthusiast clubs here in Denver, CO. Be sure to professionally Tune your unit for your optimum performance. Here in the Rockies, range is key to remain safe and sound while out in the wilderness. The speaker is loud allowing for hands-free comms while wheeling along trails with serious drop-offs. Comms are crystal clear without interruption. Would purchase this unit again, thanks Midland.
