Being a complete novice I was worried that I'd have some problems. I did not have any! Everything worked great and I had no trouble installing it. If I had it to do over I would have purchased their best antenna. They offer one better than in the bundle I purchased. Still, overall satisfied.

I don't know how to express this but I have a ghost antenna and I exchanged it for this 6dba game antenna and it outperformed the ghost antenna by three or four miles

This is a great small radio but I wish you could change the display color. I am very disappointed that a radio at this price point doesn't offer such a simple option.

I really how well-built this radio is; the whole unit feels exceptionally sturdy. So far, I've found it to be straightforward to use and free of issues. The mounting bracket is pretty limited in terms of adjustability, and it would be nice if there were a way to mount the microphone's clip without drilling into something. The mic's cord is also relatively short. It would be nice if it had NOAA weather info.

I bought this as a base station to communicate with my vehicles mxt115. I am happy with the results as I am picking up a lot of activity to my north but not a lot to my south because of a nearby hill. However I am going to upgrade my vehicles unit to a mxt400.

Bought it a few weeks ago, and I hooked it up in a couple hours in my truck. Easy install, and now I can communicate with the buds around town.
It’s better if you all have these radios rather than walkies. Reaches way farther.
Highly recommend, it goes for miles if your terrain elevation is decently flat.
