I have had my chair for over a year, and I love it! I no longer have the back aches that I used to have from all the different office chairs. My only "complaint" is that the ball holder thingies keep breaking. But, I have gotten used to being without them, and I believe that helps my balance more. I ride, so this is great for balance in the saddle as well.

I bought this for my desk at work... I had a "normal" chair for a while and had worn out the cushion. My upper back was always hurting. I decided to try this chair and I love it! I will never go back to the old style chair.

I have a U-shaped desk with multiple workstations. The Balance Ball Chair has been very effective in keeping my posture upright and my core stable. It is the perfect height for a standard work desk, and the lack of arms and a back help me turn easily as I adjust my work. The one thing I need to keep mindful of is that my knees stay at a reasonable 90 degree angle and don't hyper extend to the side. If the legs stay straight, it's a solid sit.

I have had 3 back surgeries in 15 years. The physical therapist on my last operation suggested that I set on a exercise ball at work instead of an office chair. I had been doing that for quite some time when I ran into Gaiam backless chair. What an improvement! With my old setup I was going through a ball every 6 months or so because they would develop a leak, I couldn't turn around very easily because it didn't have wheels, and when I get up it stays put. The previous ball would roll under my desk as soon as I got up so I would have to get down on my knees to retrieve it. The only negative, and it isn't a biggie, is that of the six chairs we purchased, one had a much larger ball than the others. Gaiam quickly replaced it so...no harm no foul.

I have been wanting to do this for years and am so glad I did. I've been using it for a few weeks now and feel stronger and am more aware of my posture and engaging my core muscles even when not using it. I added the extensions and that has helped at my desk (I'm 5'4" and felt too short when working). The only thing I do not like are the locking wheels. I keep hitting them with my feet and locking them so I cannot move as easily. Other than that, great!

These chairs have greatly improved my posture, and I've found many of my aches and pains are beginning to be resolved after just the first week of use. The chair is so popular that it's borrowed when I'm out of the office, and now many co-workers want to join the ball-chair club! It's amazing how much one simple change (the chair I was sitting on) can positively influence how I feel at the end of the day! It took a few days to adjust, but now I'm settled in and loving it!
