Yoga Blocks a Must

I've tried Yoga in the past and wasn't that crazy about it until a few months ago. I bought a DVD and started doing it at home and now I'm hooked. The blocks and strap are a must for doing Yoga properly if you have to make the modifications. I'm 50 years old and have arthritis mostly in my back and it has really helped. I am making progress and I'm so pleased to know that even at my age I can increase flexibility and core strength and learn how to breathe. It's just been great.

Love these blocks. They really are essential to an alignment practice AND they are unparalleled in support, stability and firmness. I shopped other blocks for my classes that were firm, and these by far were the best.

Bought this a little while ago for my yoga room something inexpensive to start . When i went to my favorite studio, they had like cork blocks. This one is a little squishier so when i need it for balancing or stretching, it squishes a little. Not very heavy so in lizard it may move putting arms on it. Worth the money to use but if you could, id get the heavier block :) if not this works!

While I am not Gaiam's greatest customer, I do own a light blue yoga block I purchased about eight years ago. It is a very sturdy Essentials Yoga Block and has lasted beyond my expectations. Having said that, I just received what I thought was the same block. It turns out all the specs are the same but Gaiam is not making them as sturdy. Bummer :( I could have found this same quality locally, which is what I was trying to avoid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just your standard yoga block. I bought them in the purple color to add some comfort to my home yoga space. These blocks have a little bit of give to them, so if you want a more brick-like structure, avoid these. My only concern is that these blocks look like they may scratch or get/get gouge marks in them easily.
