This is our second breville coffee machine. We have one at our beach house too. They are reliable, functional and the coffee they produce is first class. We will never change brands. These machines are work horses!
Couldn't be happier. My latte art still sucks, but I get fantastic results on texture and flavor, helped greatly by the clear instructions (both in setup and troubleshooting). My pressure gauge did fail, and aside from a brief communication gap my replacement was handled expediently and in a friendly manner. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends (and have).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Inconsistent water temperature

Although it is supposed to have a digital PID keeping the water temp consistent, I have found that the temperature drops drastically throughout pulling a shot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I rarely write reviews, but I am inspired to let others know that the Infuser is a terrific espresso machine. I had my previous espresso maker for 30 years, and I got along with it very well. I was not happy when I had to replace it and was expecting to have to practice and get to know the Infuser before I could make a good latte. But my very first was fabulous. I am now having a lot of fun playing around with the various ways I can work with different beans and make really delicious espresso and amazingly foamy milk.
Expect to be cleaning up a lot of water spilled from the relief of heated water after using the steam wand. Unfortunately, Breville has chosen to expel the excess hot water into the area above the hidden accessory tray. Also, the instructions do not give a proper account of the use of a single-shot basket. All times and volumes are related to the popular double-shot, which will fail if applied to a 1-cup recipe.
