Inner Pot Chips Easily
on October 24, 2022

I was hoping this would last longer but the inner pot is chipping already. Disappointed that this is not as good quality as I'd hoped for in a Breville product.

I love it ......when ir works
on June 2, 2020

I've used it about a dozen times. In the beginning it worked well, now, not so much. I constantly have to move the seal into a different position to find the secret spot that finally seals.
I tried to order a replacement seal, only to learn they are not available. Come on, fix the problem.

Good, but be CAREFUL.

Verified Purchase:Yes
It seems to work pretty well, but it can be fragile. I spilled some soup on the unit, and now the LCD screen has blemishes on it. Also, if it isn't on a completely flat, lever surface, the pressure cooker will tell you that the lid is not sealed. For the price, it should be a little more sturdy.

Owned this for years
on December 5, 2020

Can't remember when we bought this, 4 years ago? My wife and I are frequent weekly users, soups, stews, roasts, pork shoulder, beef roasts, chicken soup, chili, vegetables, bone broth, name it we have done it. Pressure cooking is perfect and slow cooking functionality is a bonus. Ours has been a rugged workhorse and used weekly. Price is higher but quality is better than the cheaper popular options. If it broke tomorrow, we buy another. Certainly have gotten our money's worth. Perhaps Breville will do an update to industrial design, controls and information display, we'll be first in line.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor performance - slow to build pressure
on September 20, 2020
Posted by: Cody
I've had this machine for 2 years and use it roughly once a week. I think I would use it more of it wasn't so plagued with issues. It's not uncommon to wait 30min for the pressure to build, only to get an error message saying it isn't sealed properly. The gasket doesn't fit well (I have the upgraded gasket) and unless I'm making something with a cook time of more than 30min, it always takes longer to build pressure than it does to cook - and that's IF it even gets to the correct pressure. I've called customer service, I've read and watched tutorials regarding this common issue, but it just seems inherent to the machine. The steam function is the same - slow slow slow. When it does work, it's great, but it should be called the slow slow pro.

Not listening to consumers - want stainless steel bowl
on October 12, 2024

Nonstick coating is extremely toxic and something most consumers are drifting away from as we become more aware of chemicals/ etc. Wish Breville made a stainless steel inner bowl for those that already have this product and a new product WITHOUT a non stick bowl. We want stainless steel bowls please provide the pro with a stainless steel bowl! :) - don’t recommend this product until a stainless steel bowl is provided

Constant Seal Failure
on November 20, 2019
Posted by: Bryan W.
Very, very disappointed in this cooker. I was in the market for an Instant Pot but saw this one and decided to trust in the Breville name. I have a Breville coffee grinder and love it. Not so with this pressure cooker. I've had it for a few weeks and cooked four meals. One of these meals took an extra 25 minutes because it didn't seal properly. I moved the seal ring around a little and I was finally able to seal the lid. The last meal I cooked, I waited :25 minutes again, after searing and working on a meal for :30 minutes, only to find that it didn't properly seal again. I rotated the seal and tried again. It finally worked, but when you have a house full of starving kids, this is a terrible flaw. I had such high hopes!
