Another Insert Coating Failure

I really liked my Fast Slow Pro until the coating on the insert began to wear away. The textured bottom makes it hard to clean, and even though it was only ever cleaned with a sponge or kitchen brush, those ridges are exactly where the coating is failing. I can purchase the same insert again, knowing that it, too, will fail, but I cannot purchase a plain, untextured, uncoated stainless steel insert.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Much as I love Breville, this one is not my favorite

I’ve had my Fast Pro Slow for several years now, so lots of history here on which to base this review. Bottom line: when pressure cooking, it takes forever to get up to pressure, and then after waiting sometimes half an hour to get up to pressure, I just get an error saying that the lid is not sealed properly. It’s so frustrating, especially because it cost so much more than other popular pressure cookers, so I kind of expected more out of it. Works OK as a slow cooker, but if you’re looking for pressure cooking, I don’t recommend it.

SLOWWWWWW

This is the slowest “fast” cooker in history. I have had this thing for several years now and I own other traditional pressure cookers and traditional slow cookers. I use this on occasion but honestly not often because it is the most frustrating kitchen appliance to use. I don’t love the non-stick pot, the sear and sauté functions work (kind of), when the lid is open it is ALWAYS in the way, but the worst thing of all is the crazy amount of time it take for it to get to pressure. Seriously 45 minutes. Assuming you get the lid on straight so the ridiculous sensor knows that the lid is on. Typical experience making a soup or stew goes like this: ingredients in, lid on, set for pressure cook, error, reset lid, error, re reset lid, walk away, half hour later, still not up to pressure, pull up the alignment pin to force it to seal, walk away swearing, 20 minutes later finally start a 20 minute “fast” cook cycle, end product if burnt on the bottom from the extended heat up time. Thanks breville.

Love the look and the function, but the quality breaks my heart!

I really love the functionality provided and the great idea of this product! However after about a year of using, it stopped working. I kept getting E0. Checked all possible issues, seal, lid, and searched online for solutions, but none of them helps. I just hope this beautiful product can have better quality!

Lid does not lock on certain pressure cooker settings

Great product except breville has to address the pressure cooker settings. There are times wherein the lid is not locked� warning pops out too often and delays the cooking process if I miss it. In reality the lid is locked; I have to unlock and Re lock it several times until the sensor stops sending that message Please do something about that

This is our 3rd fast slow pro. They are a great pressure cooker - but don’t expect them to last more than 3 years if you use them regularly. We have a back-up stovetop pressure cooker. We like the convenience of programmable cooking, but…. It should last longer.

Needs stainless steel insert

Would prefer stainless steel insert- i agree with Amelia22’s review. I don’t use it anymore because I’m sure the coating is less than ideal to be consuming or leaching into food at high temps…..
