I love it but....

We like ours , my only disappointment is with the cooking pot, not sure why they didn't make it Stainless Steel like the Fast Slow GO one, I have been looking for a pot that will fit stainless steel but I'm afraid it will not work properly or become dangerous. I also saw someone mentioning the smell, which was an issue for us too but noticed that the smell is coming from the lid that needs to be removed and washed properly and of course keeping the lid open will not have any smell. I will not buy this model if it breaks, I will raher try the Fast Slow Go.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your review and your feedback. We do value customers' input. We'll definitely pass along your feedback to the appropriate people, as we are continuously trying to improve our customer's experience.
This is the third Breville Fast Slow Pro I have purchased in 4 years due to how often this product breaks. Not sure if it is a testament to how good the product is or poor decision making to keep purchasing this product, but here I am. Buy it and expect it to last 1-2 years. Works great before it breaks.

When I first got this several months ago, I made it so complicated on myself that I just left it on the counter feeling utterly defeated.I finally just plugged it in & went for it. It is so intuitive that it really is a joy to use. At 4:00 p.m. I browned 4 short ribs, deglazed w/ wine, etc., sealed the lid, put it on "meat"; pushed start, & had dinner @ 4:45! The flavors stay in it rather than evaporating making food taste so much better than stove or oven cooking. Even slow cookers don't hold on to all the flavors like the pressure cooker. Big artichokes in 4 minutes (need build-up & cool-down time). Lemon curd in barely tightened little jars; wine-poached pears: amazing flavors & textures. The Service @ Breville is the best I've had in years: prompt answer & response @ once. Obviously, I'm a fan.

A real time saver

I've cooked a whole frozen chicken to perfection. I've made chili and soups... Within a few minutes I end up with a meal that has an all day simmer flavor to perfection. My daughter purchased Insta Pot a year ago. She's disappointed she didn't invest in the Breville.

I've had the Fast Slow Pro for a few years. It is absolutely one of the most used appliances in our kitchen. I don't use it how I thought I would, however. I assumed it would be for more 1 pot meals. While I do make a few dishes, it's honestly become a very practical tool that saves me time and stove top space. I use it regularly to make "boiled" eggs- they come out perfectly every time and the shells fall off. Rice always comes out fluffy with easy clean up. I can start the rice while I making dinner and it's one less thing to worry about. Soups and broths are infused with flavor with the pressure cooker setting. I've also used the steamer function for seafood & vegetables likes artichokes. Mashed potatoes are a breeze- steam them and then mash them in the pot and keep them warm on slow cook. Pulled pork and roasts are great with either the pressure cooker or slow cooker. I've made brunch casseroles for holidays that are easy to clean up. I use the slow cooker setting for chilis and Swedish meatballs for parties. I assume most people purchase this for the pressure cooker, but trust me, I use every function. Don't worry about this becoming a relic in the cupboard- it won't.

Great cooker

This machine makes a great risotto! Love all the options - steam/sear/pressure cook/slow cook. Was able to replace my slow cooker and just have a multi-purpose machine instead. Only downside for me is that the silicone gasket in the lid holds onto smells (especially chili) and everytime I open it, that's all I can smell even though I made the chili months ago. Other than that, its an awesome and versatile appliance and definitely recommend!
This cooker has become my most used appliance. I've used most every function. Sauté - to brown before everything else. Reduce - to actually reduce but also to cook at a boil so I can add pasta to finish a pressure cooked soup and also to cook bisquick dumpling. Veggies - butternut squash cannot taste better. I am short so i do have to stand on my toes to see in it but this was a great purchase. I read reviews and it lives up to the review.
