A real time saver

I've cooked a whole frozen chicken to perfection. I've made chili and soups... Within a few minutes I end up with a meal that has an all day simmer flavor to perfection. My daughter purchased Insta Pot a year ago. She's disappointed she didn't invest in the Breville.
Very, very disappointed in this cooker. I was in the market for an Instant Pot but saw this one and decided to trust in the Breville name. I have a Breville coffee grinder and love it. Not so with this pressure cooker. I've had it for a few weeks and cooked four meals. One of these meals took an extra 25 minutes because it didn't seal properly. I moved the seal ring around a little and I was finally able to seal the lid. The last meal I cooked, I waited :25 minutes again, after searing and working on a meal for :30 minutes, only to find that it didn't properly seal again. I rotated the seal and tried again. It finally worked, but when you have a house full of starving kids, this is a terrible flaw. I had such high hopes!
this appliance really saved my life and a lot of worries of what my kids will eat when they arrive home from school. i've made, stew, soups, meat, fish, etc. because of my long working hours, my kids always used to order take out and couldn't figure out what to have ready for them when home from school. i went thru a lot of slow cookers, but this is the best. it cooks fast and it also cooks slow. pick whichever you want. i was able to make lunch for mother's day in 40 minutes and it was perfect. Breville appliances are the best.
Everything that I have cook in this pressure cooker has come out perfect. I love all of the presets setting in the appliance for it makes it very east for the correct amount of time and the amount of psi that you want to use. I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a excellent pressure cooker. I can't use it enough, for it makes great stews & for meats that is usually very tough to cook and very tender. You your ingredients into the cooker and make sure the setting are where you need them to be, and everything comes out perfect. This is a great product.

I owned the previous Breville presser cooker. This is by far the easiest pressures cooker I have ever used. 1st thing i made was Pork short. Ribs I added 1/2 bottle of Waltons BBQ sauce ( no caliries, no sugar, no fat sauce. Then I added 1 bottle of ale and Cajun seasoning. In 40 minutes it separated from the bone. Tender and sweet. Too easy, excellent product!
Lid does not lock on certain pressure cooker settings

Great product except breville has to address the pressure cooker settings. There are times wherein the lid is not locked warning pops out too often and delays the cooking process if I miss it. In reality the lid is locked; I have to unlock and Re lock it several times until the sensor stops sending that message Please do something about that
When I first got this several months ago, I made it so complicated on myself that I just left it on the counter feeling utterly defeated.I finally just plugged it in & went for it. It is so intuitive that it really is a joy to use. At 4:00 p.m. I browned 4 short ribs, deglazed w/ wine, etc., sealed the lid, put it on "meat"; pushed start, & had dinner @ 4:45! The flavors stay in it rather than evaporating making food taste so much better than stove or oven cooking. Even slow cookers don't hold on to all the flavors like the pressure cooker. Big artichokes in 4 minutes (need build-up & cool-down time). Lemon curd in barely tightened little jars; wine-poached pears: amazing flavors & textures. The Service @ Breville is the best I've had in years: prompt answer & response @ once. Obviously, I'm a fan.
