Simply remove the main brush cover and main brush and attach the direct suction plate in its place. This robot is good because of the map features. All locations in the map can be cleaned. The only downside is if you have a carpet with blank and white color, the robot "thought" it is a special area and cannot clean it. If this can be fixed through version upgrade, that would be perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a previous robot and really like it. This one is a replacement. The upgrades are good in that there is a map on the app now. I can specify a specific space to clean. Very nice.
One thing that I noticed is that is does not dock up as well as the other. It seems like it is doing a hunt-and-seek to get it back onto the docking station. The older model seemed to do this very well. This one, not so much. It has to try sometime as much as 4 times to get it right. I have to set it on every once in a while on my own.

The old one had a remote and I could guide it back or around as I wanted, I miss that.
Something I wish they had was the ability to have the robot clean different ways each time. For example, do only baseboards on a schedule. Do, specific rooms on another schedule.

Works well for my needs with some minor caveats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I’m really happy with this robot. Scheduling and running it from my phone is super easy. I like being able to specify an area to clean and have it work only in that area. The virtual wall for excluding areas has worked out well for me to keep the robot away from the Christmas tree skirt, the dog bowl, and other items.
A couple of things on my wish list.
1. I wish it had better climbing capability. It has a difficult time getting from the wood floor up on to the area carpet.
2. I wish I could save floor plans for multiple levels of the home. I use it on the 1st floor, but am unable to use it on the upper levels unless a new map is created. This can likely be fixed with a software update so I hope to see that in the near future.

I haven’t had it long enough to comment on durability, but so far everything is working great. Nice product at a good price. Bonus: My daughter likes to watch the cleaning progress on the app. She named our robot "Vlad".
