The Ecovac does a great job cleaning. The dirt basket is very small and necessitates emptying after each cleaning. Mapping has been a nightmare! The unit frequently get”suspended “ and then “relocates,” which starts the whole mapping process over again. Customer care support is worthless!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For the mapping process, please make sure not to pick up the robot, which would cause the robot to lose its map and start over again. Also, if the robot cannot finish the mapping process in one go, try enabling the continuous clean mode in the app which will tell the robot to go back out and finish the mapping process after it charges up. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This robot is a worthwhile investment. It cleans underneath things that you can’t reach with a regular vacuum, like beds and some shelves. I run it every day and I am amazed at the amount of dirt that is pulled up daily. All of my questions have been answered promptly through the app. The first robot ended up malfunctioning and needing a replacement which was handled quickly and smoothly. I suspect the reason it malfunctioned was that I had not been emptying the filter regularly, but I’m not really sure. The luxury of having my floors vacuumed by this robot is something I never want to stop. I highly recommend this product to everyone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We already own a Roomba and wanted to find a new vacuum. We bought 3 other kinds that we didn't really love before ending up on this Deebot. It is quieter than our Roomba. I love the double brushes on the front. The app it connects to is easy to use and has so many cool features. It is pretty cool to be able to direct it, start/stop it, schedule it, and create boundaries all from my phone. The dirt bin is a tiny bit smaller than the Roomba, but still roomy enough to do the job. We love this purchase and would recommend this vacuum to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Neato vacuum, which was much louder and would not vacuum in the dark. This deebot can vacuum in the dark, is quiet enough to run while watching TV. It cleans well, and I love the ability to restrict zones, which the Neato did not have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this robot vacuum about a month ago. So far I am extremely happy with it! The price is very reasonable. Not many other vacuums have lidar detection for mapping, wifi and app control for the price of this vacuum.
A few times it will stop because the fall sensors get dusty and need cleaned or the brush gets tangled with long hair. I wish that it would map additional floors, but the cost I plan to buy another one for my basement. Overall I am very happy with the Deebot 901!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this vacuum for 2 reasons: 1. For the smart app features. It took 2 tries to get the first run down so that it mapped my house and would work with the Start Clean function from the app, but once it was done it is a really cool feature. You can set boundaries on the map inside the app to keep it from cleaning certain areas, which is probably my favorite part. 2. It had good reviews for pet hair pick up. While it does do a good job of picking up pet hair, I usually have to clean the brush about every third clean cycle. Thankfully they made the main brush easily removable and easy to take apart, so cleaning really isn't a problem. I'll also add that it does a good job of docking itself at the end of a clean cycle and any time it needs to recharge. I've had another major brand in the past that never did make it back to the charging dock. Overall, I'm very happy with the robot vacuum.
