I actually like this one even more because of the floor mapping it does and literally covers ever square inch of my floors to include my low cut carpet.

Troublesome

It gets tangled in everyhing include charging base. When it gets tangled the battery runs out and it is very difficult to recharge. I wish i had bought a better one.

Hello,

We're sorry to hear the DEEBOT is running into some trouble. Please make sure to locate the charging base in an area where it is pressed up firmly against a wall with a few feet of space clear on each side as to keep the robot from getting tangled up on it. We would also recommend using the virtual boundary capabilities of the robot to tell the robot not to go to areas that are causing the most trouble. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is great. Not only does it communicate with me via the app on my phone, it maps the house (we have 1 upstairs and 1 down), allows for virtual fences to avoid tricky areas, and just does a great job cleaning my floors daily.

We have 2 dogs and it has no trouble picking up hair on either hard floors or carpet. It can quickly be cleaned and emptied, then put back to use. It saves me so much time from having to manually vacuum because I can set it to run while everyone's gone for the day. Terrific product!

Runs out of battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the DeeBot 900 about 2 months ago. We have had to re-map our house multiple times because it never finishes before it runs out of battery. Then, once it is recharged, it does not go back out and finish the job. This is super annoying because we have areas that it will spend the entire time on and then other areas that never get cleaned at all. We are not able to run it when we are not home because it will constantly get stuck on the edge of our area rug (even though when it is mapping, it is never a problem). It does seem to do a decent job of picking up pet hair and dirt, but it does not clean the entire area.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For the mapping issue, please try enabling the continuous cleaning mode in the app which will tell the robot to go back and finish the mapping process after it charges up if it was not able to complete the map in one go. Doesn't transition over carpet well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a Deebot 79S, and was excited to have a machine that actually navigated the house efficiently. Loved the mapping system and the fact that you can schedule different rooms to clean at different times. However, it would not go over the carpet thresholds from a hard floor, which makes it useless to us. The 79S never had issues and easily went from room to room. When I called customer service, they said that the 900 is a much heavier robot, which is causing the problem of not being able to navigate over a lot of carpet edges, even though the other one had no issues. I also had a problem with it not going under the bed because the metal bed frame is a darker gray (the 79S never had an issue with that either). It just stops and turns around, even though there is plenty of clearance. The suggestion was to cover the entire bed frame with white tape. No thanks - I returned it.
