Did not plug and play out of the box. Instead, I put it on the charger and after several hours got a message that it was shutting down because of low battery. Somehow, I eventually got it started and it got stuck everywhere imaginable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have this in my second floor, going through 3 areas to clean. Fast, efficient and accurate. Only issue I have, god brushes her caught. Make sure you clear as much as you can from the floor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Deebot 901 after having a need, and also receiving a recommendation from a co-worker. I have it scheduled to run M,W,F,S. I love the notifications showing when cleaning is complete. I am able to see every pass that it made. I also think the virtual walls are great. No messing with putting out sensors and forgetting them. I put a virtual wall around my bed because I have storage bags under there. Every once in a while, I will take the bags out and remove the wall. I am completely satisfied with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this vacuum for 2 reasons: 1. For the smart app features. It took 2 tries to get the first run down so that it mapped my house and would work with the Start Clean function from the app, but once it was done it is a really cool feature. You can set boundaries on the map inside the app to keep it from cleaning certain areas, which is probably my favorite part. 2. It had good reviews for pet hair pick up. While it does do a good job of picking up pet hair, I usually have to clean the brush about every third clean cycle. Thankfully they made the main brush easily removable and easy to take apart, so cleaning really isn't a problem. I'll also add that it does a good job of docking itself at the end of a clean cycle and any time it needs to recharge. I've had another major brand in the past that never did make it back to the charging dock. Overall, I'm very happy with the robot vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this robot vacuum about a month ago. So far I am extremely happy with it! The price is very reasonable. Not many other vacuums have lidar detection for mapping, wifi and app control for the price of this vacuum.
A few times it will stop because the fall sensors get dusty and need cleaned or the brush gets tangled with long hair. I wish that it would map additional floors, but the cost I plan to buy another one for my basement. Overall I am very happy with the Deebot 901!
