So frustrated

I purchased this in May and loved the job it did in my home. It was about 1800sqft down stairs only and had no problem. Mapping worked well, loved it. We just moved to a new house - all singe story and 4200 sqft and it’s a totally different experience. I have yet to get my house mapped. It has never once returned to the docking station. It loses its maps all the time. It loses its connectivity. I just literally put it on the dock and then told it to recharge thinking it would scoot off and roll back on to charge and instead it’s wandering around relocating. I’m so frustrated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello,
We're sorry to hear about the issues with the 900. To assist the DEEBOT with creating the map, try enabling the continuous cleaning mode in the app so that after the charging dock gives the machine a full charge, it will continue going out to finish building the map. As for the unit having difficulty returning to the charging station, please make sure the charging dock is located in an area with a few feet of space clear on each side, and to start the unit's cycle from the dock itself so it has an easier journey home. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sometimes it works and other times it does not. Come home and deebot is on the charger and other times it is sitting in the middle of the room. I do keep the bottom and contact points on the charger wiped down free of debris. I keep it set up on continuous clean but it loses the virtual walls and layout of the house all the time. I will be calling again to try and get some help. I really do want to love this robo vac but can be quite annoying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and have used it twice a day since then with no issues. Set up was mostly easy and the app works well for me even though I had seen reviews that suggested otherwise. It has plenty of suction power and makes it around most of my furniture. Any areas that the robot tends to get stuck on, i simply create a virtual barrier so I don't have to worry about it and I manually clean those areas myself later. It seems to get around the edges of things well too. I have a oddly shaped house and floor plan and it does fine with it. I like that when it maps the house it automatically makes zones so that you can pick and choose what to clean and when. I plan on buying a second one to live on my upstairs floor because the one that does the downstairs is so wonderful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew I would like having a DEEBOT 900, but I had no idea how much I'd love it! The DEEBOT does a fantastic job - it's easy to set up and program, it can vacuum just as well as my full-sized vacuum, and it gets into the corners. Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a wonderful purchase for us. Our deebot covers our house 3 days a week and does a great job getting under beds and all the tile/hardwood floors. For a single level house this is a great tool to have to manage your cleaning. The deebot, provides warning alerts if it get stuck, needs to be clean and of course when it need to proceed home for recharging.
I would like to see the software allow for saving the floor mapping so that you dont have to go through the whole house mapping over and if you change and move things around in the house. It would be nice to also allow the blocking out of the fixture area you don't want the deebot to clean to save that in the mapping as well.
If they fix those two things in the s/w this would receive a Excellent rating.
