[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my share of robots two Roombas and two Neatos and by far the Deebot 900 cleans better is more quiet and cleans a lot better that the other robots I have owned over the years. I have had the Deebot for a while now and would highly recommend it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this little thing. At first i was a bit iffy but the app and the robot seem to work really well in our house and its 100m in size.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great, much more efficient in its cleaning. Only down sides are the apps functioning, needs some updating. Also it does not dock right unless I send it home via the app.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had three ECOVACS but bought this one for the mapping feature to try it out. I loved it so much that I bought two more. One for each level in my home! Now my kids are happy too because they got my older ones!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does a good job cleaning with the brush roller mode. The direct suction attachment has a flimsy rubber seal that broke within the first month. The vacuum is also much louder in that mode so I discontinued using it. The mapping is great. It allows you to see what's been cleaned, set boundaries and pick specific areas to clean. I wish it gave an option to routinely and automatically clean certain areas on certain days. Unfortunately you can only schedule clean the whole area. Mapping goes a little crazy at times and the vacuum gets lost or starts mapping on top of the existing map resulting in a super large house map (aka 2 or 3 ranch floorplans). When that happens it does know when it has cleaned everywhere. The good news is it recovers the map fairly easily by being placed on the charger. The direct suction and the mapping annoyances are the reasons for the 4 stars.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For some reason that we don't know the deebot never can to clean the carpet, but it's did when was a new, after that lose to location.

Our First Robot Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We chose this vacuum in lieu of a mid-level Roomba. While I do not have any past experience to compare to, it has done a great job for us so far! It is quiet enough to run while home, and “smart” enough to run while away. We move one of our kitchen rugs out of the way when running it, but that rug proves troublesome even when manually vacuuming. The first couple runs the bin was completely full, but after running it a few consecutive days it only fills up a quarter or halfway (two kids and two dogs). We are having some trouble with mapping our entire downstairs on one charge (about 1700sf), so I’ve closed off a few doors until we can figure out how to add those rooms on. Overall we are very happy with this vacuum!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Battery dead in 5 mos, no replacements available

We liked the Ecovacs Deebot 901 initially after purchasing it in July 2018. The app and mapping worked pretty well; we love that this model will vacuum on a grid instead of randomly, easily scheduled daily cleaning, and it can be directed to a specific room on the map. It sometimes had trouble getting itself back to its charger and the battery life was shorter than advertised (could not vacuum around 800 square feet in one charge). The Alexa connection is pretty bad so I wouldn't count on that unless they improve the skill significantly. Overall we would have given it 4 stars but then it stopped working completely after we'd had it for only five months.
We reviewed and diligently followed the troubleshooting instructions from the manual, which seemed unlikely to solve the problem but we gave it a go nonetheless (connect and disconnect repeatedly while waiting minutes in between, hop on one foot, rub your tummy while you pat your head)... not surprisingly, troubleshooting accomplished nothing beyond wasted time and increasing frustration - problems you buy a smart device to help you have less of. Apparently we have to replace the battery. 5 months into having a product used moderately, as directed, and it needs a new rechargeable battery already? And it isn't under warranty?
What's worse is there's no replacement battery for the 901 to be found anywhere on the entire internet, so we basically have a big round paperweight. Based on this experience, we won't buy another Ecovacs device again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
