I finally gave in and purchased the Deebot 900 after reading numerous reviews of various robot vacs. I'll just say this thing is AWESOME! We have a 2 story home, so we use it for our floor which is 1400+ sqft and and open floor plan. This vac's cleaning ability and thoroughness exceeded my expectations. The floors is a mix of hardwood, carper, and linoleum. It cleans everything. We have not had to clean the floor ourselves since buying it!
If there is any cons, it would be that the mapping can be querky at times. If the robot gets stuck somewhere and discharges. Even if you power it off and put bsck on base, when you turn it back on it mostl likely loses the map. Not a huge issue as it rebuilds the maps pretty quickly, but you lost your virtual boundaries and have to wait till it remaps to use them again. As well as custom cleaning areas.
Other than that. I will be buying a second one for out second floor. Unless hopefully deebot updates this one to remember multiple floors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really impressed with the features they packed into this little vacuum. From the little laser on the top which is great at mapping the room and avoiding any obstacle, to a wifi heat map that tells me where my wifi is bad, this has it all!
Add to it the Google Assistant integration and the great mobile app, I really can't understand why anyone would use anything else.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace an Arte iClebo vacuum which was less than two years old but quit working. This thing works so much better! Some of the best features are the virtual boundaries, brushless vac option (for pet hair), and mapping. My old vacuum would get stuck all the time but this one is much smarter and quieter. I can set boundaries in the app if there is an area that it's likely to get stuck (cables, low clearance items, etc.) and I don't have to clean the brush regularly like I did with my old vac. I highly recommend this to everyone!

The map is not working as expected

The map is not what I expected. It is being forgotten any time I send the vac back to base and it starts all over again. Sometimes it messes up the map while vacuuming and doesn’t know where the bade is any more. I am disappointed.

My husband got this for me so that it would help lessen my load of things to do since having had my second child. It has been super helpful and has been very efficient at vacuuming up my dog hair and crumbs from my toddler. I love that you can use the app to select and area of the home that needs a little extra attention. The little hiccups that I have noticed with this is that it does not adjust well to being on a different floor. It does not like having its docking station moved. It does not like being under my pack and play, or having objects near/over top it while it is “restoring the map”. We have also noticed it has a little trouble with our coffee table because it can do under some parts buyback not others which confuses it.
Even with these little things it does make my life easier and we are looking to save up some money to get two more, one for each floor.
Oh, and it connects to our google home so we can just tell google to vacuum which my husband loves doing...
I would recommend this to a friend!

Deebot 900

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our Deebot 900 in December 2017. It does a good job cleaning but our house is 2700 sf so it can’t finish the cleaning on one charge. The Deebot has trouble finding the charging station although I’ve tried moving it to several different locations in our house. When I have to place it on the charging station it doesn’t finish cleaning after it is fully charged. I also find the periodically the app isn’t able to see the Deebot so I need to delete and reinstall the Deebot with the app.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
