its a great lil printer and I only had it one day... the only problem is when it was adjusting it printed out like 8 quarter sheets which is just a waste if you ask me but once setup wired and wireless it works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Epson I bought several years ago works easier than this new one. This XP-5100 is a good cheap price, but it is so complicated to use that it takes a long time to figure out how to scan to a file and have the printer respond properly. this learning curve cost me valuable time when I was working on a deadline. My old Epson was simpler and more user friendly. Moral of the story: more is not always better. More is just more. Better may sometimes be= not more. I wish Epson would simplify the controls and driver settings.

I bought this printer a couple weeks back now and finally got around to cleaning up my office to set it up. Out of box, setup, & configured in under 45 minutes. I connected it wirelessly to our home WIFI network with no issues. I then used my wife's laptop from the living room and successfully connected to the printer wirelessly; test print successful. I then used my work laptop (not on VPN) and was also able to successfully connect wirelessly to the printer; test print successful. I don't know how much we will be printing but we will be using it to print personal documents, scan into computer letters, notes, ppw...
I would recommend this to a friend!
