worst printer I ever purchased

Printing was terrible so I followed all maintenance procedures. Those used up all the ink. Have replaced ink cartridges 3 times already, just started using this in late January for very little printing. Always shows error messages even though it prints anyway.

This is a great printer. It does what I need it to do with no problems. It holds more paper than my old XP-400 and the ink cartridges last longer. The scanner is great too. I like Epson printers very much.

Easy to use

I've had this for several weeks and am quite pleased with it's performance. Setting it up wirelessly was a bit of a hassle, but it keeps giving you different options to make it work. I finally had to use a temporary hookup cable, then remove it once the connection was established. Haven't used it enough yet to check out the ink longevity, I don't do huge amounts of printing anyway so it should be fine for my needs.

Poor ink options

The recent firmware update broke my printer. I was using EZink with out a problem. I installed the firmware update and then the cartridges could not be recognized!! This is in violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act, (US code Title 15 Chapter 50, Section 2301-2312) !!
Please send me a new set of cartridges to replace the ones I no longer can use.

Overall, a wise purchase

I recently purchased my first Epson product, the Expression Home XP-5100. Due to Covid, I have been working from home. My old printer died. I feel that it was a good price for the all in one printer. It was easy to set up. I don't have wireless internet so the connection was extremely easy-just plug in the cords. I have used the printer function the most and am pleased with the speed and that it automatically prints double sided without me having to flip the paper for it to do so. I have used the scanning feature a lot also. My old computer, I had to hand feed the pages and when it didn't catch, it was a pain. This scanning feature, the paper is placed the exact same way as copying. I have only used the copying function a few times, but again, it was easy. The print outs, scans and copies have been good quality. Ink replacement is cheaper than that of my old printer, which is great. It's easier to change the ink cartridges also. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I would recommend this to my friends.

Easy to Set-up

I bought this printer today(5-29-2021) after busying a Pixma Series3300 and having to return it it a day-and- a half later due being unable to complete set-up/connect due. The next day a exchanged it for another Canon product.....SAME RESULT.The following day (The above mentioned date...Today) I exchanged the Canon product( plus a very few dollars) I got an EPSON XP-5100. Set-up was a Breeze,it connected promptly and I will Never Go Back to a Canon Again. I'm now an Epson Guy ,Period. Thnks for a Much Superior Product. P.S in your instructions for inserting the ink cartridges ,you should inform people that they need to press the OK button to install the ink.

Best printers on the market

I've learned a hard and expensive lesson about using other printers! My first printer was purchased in about 1995 and it was an Epson, which was Top-of-the-Line back then! After that printer finally died after several years of use I went with some different brands, (don't ask why) and was always disappointed. I now have gone back to Epson, which is still the Top Dog, regardless of all the hype the other guy(s) want you to believe. Epson is above all consistent in their quality and design and they just simply do it better! They market what they need to keep us up to date without all the hype. At least that what it seems to me while I was looking to buy again. I'll never own another HP or other brand printer as long as I live!! It was Epson "yesterday" and it's Epson "now & tomorrow"!! Epson, You Rock!!
