Nt so great

I bought this a month ago and I'm not to happy with the product. It leaves lines when you print pictures and uneven lettering when printing documents. I used the settings many times to even out the lines but it is still the same.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very disappointing

I bought and install this printer less than a month ago. Specifically because I've used Epson products for YEARS.
This had been the poorest performing, most aggravating Epson printer/scanner t date; on par with an HP consumer grade device.
It started by the printer randomly switching to off-line mode when connected via USB. Then switched to a WiFi connection and that did not improve the working.
Finally, the printer quit printing at all, giving me various error messages. Really Epson an error message of "Somethings wrong" is not the least bit helpful DUH!!! I know that. Usually running Epson's trouble shooter would resolve the problem. Until today. So I switched back to USB, nothing, then back to WiFi and have redownloaded and installed the drivers. Hoping that will resolve the issue. If not, looks like I've wasted my money.
Lastly, the photo printing quality is less than half of my last Epson all-in-one. Perhaps that was because it used FOUR colour ink cartridges PLUS a separate photo black cartridge.
In conclusion, I would not purchase this model again

Great all in one printer

This printer was so fast and easy to setup. Nice quality prints clear picture. Scanner is nice feature. Very small and compact fits almost anywhere. I like the paper is held inside the printer. Makes for easier storage. I would definitely recommend

The Epson expression 5100 printer is a great printer. The instalation was easy, it took my husband just a short time to hook it into our wifi network. I like the fact that with just a few simple step I can print from my iPad, phone, or computer.
It has many great features including a lcd screen so I can look at pictures on my memory card to print them out without having to go to my computer. My only issue is that the picture are very small and kind of hard to see.
It is also a scanner and copier which is so conveint for me. The paper tray holds up to 150 pieces of paper.
You can easily which paper size, glossy or non glossy right on the lcd screen. It prints lightening fast, I printed out a full color 8x10 photo in seconds.
It has great picture printing quality.
You can easily do all the commands right on the lcd screen. I love this printer it's so easy to use.
This is a review for the Epson that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

the printer is very hard to use, the buttons are hard to push and the collor is not right

I just bought this today to replace the Kodak that finally died. love the ease of setup and single cartridges for each ink color. This thing is quiet. Very pleased so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quick and easy

I just received my third Epson printer and am extremely happy with it. Installation was extremely easy. Operation is so easy a child could do it. Great job Epson. If I ever need another printer, number four will be another Epson.

Frustraing waste of time

Setting up this printer is a time consuming technological nightmare. From the keyboard to manually put in your password for the internet to the ream of paper and most of your ink to test the print alignment. Spent and hour and a half and still does not work on my wi-fi. (everything else I use does).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
