Easy to setup, compact and great prints.

This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-5100 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
First impression was how small the box was. Removing the unit from the box and his has a much smaller footprint than my older All-in-one printer. It was packed well and easy to remove all packing material. Unit comes completely assembled except for installing the ink cartridges. It comes with a quick start guide and software CD. Instructions were easy to follow and setup was a breeze. Took about 15 minutes total from box to printing.
The printer is quiet and fast. I like that it has a automatic power saving mode. The prints are sharp and clear. The paper tray holds a good amount of paper. Wireless printing is quick and easy to do from my computer, tablet and phone. Really love that I can print from anywhere on any device. SD card slot is a nice touch.
Overall it's a great compact printer. I never used the fax on my old one so not an issue with this one not having it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had many different printers over the years and this is by far my favorite one. The picture is so clear and crisp. I have printed on regular paper with this printer as well as photos and both have came out amazing! I really like that it prints really quickly and I don't have to wait a long time when printing multiple photos. We do a lot of printing in my house and I can tell this printer is really going to stand the test of time.
This XP-5100 holds a ton of paper which I also love. I also really like the controls on it. The LCD screen is a great size. It has wireless printing so my family and I were able to print from our phones which my kids just loved. I would highly recommend this printer if you do any type of printing at all. This printer is amazing for photos!

Impressive All-In One Printer

The XP-5100 is an outstanding printer especially considering the consumer friendly price. The initial setup is quick & easy. Just follow the quick start guide. When I inserted the included setup disc, I was given the option to download newer software which I did. Overall the entire setup takes about 12 minutes including connecting to your network. The print quality is very good and comparable to inkjet printers costing more. While printing the XP-5100 is very quiet. It is nearly silent when scanning documents or pictures. Scanning produces accurate reproductions with true colors.
The XP-5100 has a very compact footprint and takes up little room. Paper loading is easy and the printer holds up to 150 sheets. I especially like the flexibility of Epson Connect wireless printing. You can print from your smart phone or tablet easily. This is available for Apple or Android. I would definitely recommend this printer for anyone on a budget that wants ease of use & quality results. Small and Easy to Use

This printer is so small and easy to use it’s perfect for the average home user and/or those not very familiar with printers and other electronics. It is a nice small size so it fits very easily wherever you have room and since it is wireless all you need in the area of the printer is an outlet. Mine fits easily on the window seat in my bedroom so I can print, scan, or copy and relax without having to go to another room to print. Refilling paper is easy since you don’t have to pull out the whole paper tray and instead can simply flip down the front of the paper tray and slide the paper in.
Set-up was simple with easy to use instructions. I was impressed by how many different options it had to so connect to wi-fi. I used the wi-fi recommended mode where you choose the ssid and type in your password, but there were other WPS methods available. It does come with starter ink that was simple to install only needing to shake and then pop into place. I installed the software on my computer so I could start scanning in pictures. The included software was pretty simple to use for even a novice and includes basic editing software and an option for easy upload to popular social media.
Printing is easy and fast, even in full color. I printed both black and white and some full color pictures and all looked great both on photo paper and plain paper. Printing was easy whether from computer or from the Epson iPrint app. This printer is great for all my home printing needs and taking up little space in my home is definitely a plus. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great and compact home printer.This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-5100 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

The Printer I Wish I Had Sooner!

Whenever new technology comes my way, I’ll admit it, I’m a little intimidated. I’m not the best with always figuring it out. I grew up with a typewriter, and later on, I just relied on my kids to help me figure out any new device. Now, here I was on my own to set up the Epson XP-5100 printer. Lucky for me, it was super easy to set up that even someone with basic technology skills can do it. From unboxing the printer to installing the software, the setup went smoothly. When it was time to use the printer, I found it to be very simple. I love that the printer has a wireless connection and I can print from practically anywhere including from my phone which will come in handy. Since I recently became a first-time grandma, I am sure I will be utilizing this feature a lot to print out photos I take on my phone of my adorable new grandson.
So far, I have printed many documents and pictures with the Epson XP-5100 printer. I am impressed with the speed of the printing. It seems like it prints faster than other printers I have used. Also, compared to other printers I have had, this printer sounds a little noisier, but maybe that is just my imagination. Pictures come out crisp and clear and documents are sharp without smudges. The way the printer is designed, it saves me time, space, and energy. I’m really happy with the printer and highly recommend it. I only wish I had this printer sooner, but I am glad to now have it in my house to go to for all my printing needs. Great printer

The Epson expression 5100 printer is a great printer. The instalation was easy, it took my husband just a short time to hook it into our wifi network. I like the fact that with just a few simple step I can print from my iPad, phone, or computer.
It has many great features including a lcd screen so I can look at pictures on my memory card to print them out without having to go to my computer. My only issue is that the picture are very small and kind of hard to see.
It is also a scanner and copier which is so conveint for me. The paper tray holds up to 150 pieces of paper.
You can easily which paper size, glossy or non glossy right on the lcd screen. It prints lightening fast, I printed out a full color 8x10 photo in seconds.
It has great picture printing quality.
You can easily do all the commands right on the lcd screen. I love this printer it's so easy to use.

Great things in small packages!

I have a fairly small apartment and I wanted a printer that can do everything I needed and small enough to fit in the space I have available. When I got this I was so super excited to know that it was perfect for small home/offices. I was very easy to set up by following the quick start guide. I even set up my phone and my husbands phone to it so I can print from our phones as well. We use so many different devices; its compatible with them all. I used to wireless setup.
I love that it comes with 4 separate cartridges so that I don't have to change everything every time 1 color is empty. I like that it can hold a good amount of paper so that I don't have to keep reloading paper every time. The copier and scanner deliver nice crisp color and none of that fuzzy stuff. I was impressed by how fast it actually printed. I previously had a Canon Pixma and this one is so much smaller and faster.
I like that it also has a sd card slot so that when I have photos I want to print from other devices, friends phones or my underwater camera I don't always have to upload the photos to my computer before printing them I can just insert the SD card in the slot and BOOM.. PRINTING!! I haven't tried the SD slot yet but I am sure its an amazing feature.
I haven't had the printer long enough to review the ink and its longevity but I am sure that it would be a breeze to replace when the time comes.

Great all in one printer

The Epson XP-5100 is a wonderful "small in one". This thing is exactly what I was missing for my home office. I only had a laser printer, which is great for printing only black and white. I no longer have to use phone apps to scan things and can print color!
This thing is an absolute breeze to setup and I connected it to my wi-fi without any issues. It is extremely fast to print and to scan so far and I am in love with the ability to print straight from my phone! For a home office like mine I think this will be perfect for years to come!
