better than a conventional microwave

Better than a regular microwave. Can cook items that I would have never used my old microwave for. Bread and baked goods don't get destroyed like in regular microwaves.Love the convenience and the sleek look.

Advantium microwave/oven

I am so pleased with the oven both in form and function. It looks fabulous above my new GE wall oven. I was worried with a drop down down and a 9 yr old boy I thought he was no be able to use it or would hang on the door but it is actually at a great level for him. Great as a small oven and a microwave. I did not buy the combo I bought separately so if one were to go out I would still have the other. But all is working great

Best Combination Oven Available

This is my second GE Advantium oven. The first one is 10 years old and works like new. We moved it to the basement kitchen and got this new one for the main kitchen. The Speed Cook function is unmatched by any other oven on the market. I cook with convection, microwave and Halogen light, and any combination of the 3. Cooking foods at up to 8 times the conventional oven speed with my first Advantium was NOT an exaggeration. Although my new Advantium is a 120v model it still Speed Cooks at 4 times the conventional oven speed, but adds the European Convection method option to the mix. I love the way this oven cooks food, it's ease of operation. Best of all, I can program my favorite recipes into the memory, and even combining cooking methods.

Love this oven

We just bought it recently and have much to learn and explore. We love all of the features thus far. One note of caution: Unless you are 6 feet tall, do not install the oven at normal cabinet height. Drop it at least 6" below the normal cabinet level. The door opens down like an oven not like a normal micro. The door can be hot.

Cooking Like The Pros

My kitchen advisor suggested we consider this microwave because of its ability to double as an oven for holiday cooking. We installed it in May, and I didn't expect to use it until November. Boy, was I wrong!! We use it ALL THE TIME--all the things you used to have to heat up the big oven for can be done in the Advantium on the oven setting. No more chewy rolls or pizza crust--this thing cooks! You have to switch between glass and metal trays, but other than that, it is very simple and intuitive to use. Worth the premium, and it isn't even Thanksgiving yet!
