So Far So Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this Whirlpool side by side refrigerator to replace an awful LG French Door refrigerator. This refrigerator was one of the few models that fit my space with some room to spare. So far so good. The unit is staying cold (refrigerator and freezer) and is making alot of ice and provides water on the door. Like other reviewers, it would be nice to have adjustable shelves, a quieter ice maker, and fingerprint resistant stainless finish. The water dispenser drips a bit down the door and the refrigerator door could use a soft opening hinge so it doesn't abruptly swing open. All in all, it is doing what a refrigerator and freezer should do keep my food cool and frozen. Time will tell if it ends up being dependable but it is a big improvement over LG thus far.

Nice but no adjustable shelves

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice but the shelves do not adjust. Top shelf is shallow. Old Rubbermaid gallon pitchers will not fit on top shelf. I do not like putting heavy items in the door. When we installed the ice maker would not work. With no help from the instruction book I researched and found out the ice maker has a reset button. Turning it on did not make it work. Had to push the reset button. Fits well in our kitchen. Not too tall. Nice appearance.

works ok I think

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this item a month a ago and so far so good. The only things that I feel are not right are: that the wheels don't lock. Every time we open the fridge doors the whole fridge rolls forward because they do not lock. I had to put rubber stops on the wheels to stop that. Also the fridge is all black but the hinges are silver and stick out like sore thumb from the side view.. See picture. Also it seems like the fridge always is running. I hope that is ok. We had to get this fridge because we had limited space due to that it had to fit into the cabinet and this one fit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Whirlpool Side-by-Side was installed about 10 days ago. I waited well over a month for it to be delivered, and I am very unhappy with how loud it is whenever the compressor runs. It's not just a few minutes either. It goes on and on, louder than my dishwasher, washing machine and air-conditioner. Even the installer mentioned how loud it sounded, but he suggested it might lessen once it was up and running for a few days. I'm so disappointed. It's awful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
