I just bought the NU507100 yesterday, and I'm surprised that the picture is terrible if you're looking at from the right or left. If you're in front of it, it's fine. I'm not sure if the HDR works when you put on a 4K movie. Is there a notification to let you know if it's on. I'll know more in a year from now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The 50 inch NU7100 TV does come with HDR 10. The HDR will be automatically enabled when connected to a device or streaming service that is outputting HDR content. Some devices require that you activated in your device and you may need to activate in the TV. To activate the HDR feature, go to HDMI UHD Color. Settings > General > HDMI UHD Color > Select Input

I am using this TV as a PC monitor

Wow. I am very impressed. I have tried TV's as monitors before over the years with mixed mostly bad results. This TV works as a great monitor for much less money than a traditional monitor. I am a semi-pro photographer...not my main job but I have sold hundreds of photos using just a 10 year old 1080p monitor. I really don't see the need of an overpriced traditional small ips monitor without sound for most people. This TV has HDMI 2.0 supporting UHD (50/60P 4:4:4 and 4:2:2) signals. Windows 10 looks great. Photoshop and Lightroom look great. In order to make this an amazing PC monitor do the following......In the settings menu go to General then External Device Manger then HDMI UHD Color and turn it on. There are massive other settings you can adjust to your own liking.
This is my second Samsung TV. I had trouble with the first one so I figure that years later I'd give Samsung another shot. That was a mistake. I have had repeated problems with software and error codes. I purchased an LG 42" several years and not one time had a problem. I wish I had stayed with LG.

screen started going in and out after 20 months

I bought this TV and really liked it, but 8 months after the warranty expired the screen started to go in and out. It seems to me that a TV should last longer than 20 months... the cost of the repairs are as much as a brand new TV. I like this TV, but not enough to buy a new one every year. I recommend looking for another brand (that's what I am going to do).
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best picture quality - however it "freezes" often

This is our 2nd TV, the first one did the same thing. After several calls to customer service, they suggested exchanging the TV. So we took it back to BJ's and got a different one. It is doing the same thing. I did the software update which helped, it will freeze less often however it will still freeze. We plan to take it back this weekend, too bad, the picture quality is great, best I have seen, and the features are also great. We just can't deal with the freezing (even though it is only for less than a second, it is very annoying). I may try customer service one more time, but I think we will put our old TV back, at least for now. This has been too big an issue. Also, it will do the same thing when using the DVR or a Blu-Ray disk.

All Around Excellent TV

I have only had this TV for a few days, but my wife and I really like it. It was a breeze to set up. I connected the Directv cable and the power and in a matter of a few minutes, it was ready to go. I do like the apps and web-based portion
Please note that this is a Samsung-wide issue - not specific to this model. The only reason I gave any stars at all is because of the great buying/delivery experience through Best Buy and the nice picture when it's not turning itself on and off. Delivered less than 12 hours ago and now it appears that I will have to un-wall mount this beast and send it back. What a buzz kill for what should have been a great day. Shame on you, Samsung, for putting out TV's with this issue for over 10 years!

I purchased this TV 5 days ago. I waited to give a review, because I wanted to watch it a few days before I gave an opinion. This TV has surpassed my expectations. I love it. I don't understand some of the negative reviews.
