TV does NOT Support 5 GHz

I am so disappointed. I bought this TV for streaming only and it does NOT support 5 GHz, only 2.4 GHz. I never would have bought this TV if I knew that in advance.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just wanted to make two comments on my new Samsung TV. I'm not usually one to complain, but I am hoping my thoughts could help in some small way. I recently purchased a 50 Inch UHD Smart TV (NU7100), and encountered some problems right from the beginning that forced me to purchase additional items just to get the TV working. Specifically, when I bought the TV, I also purchased a standard wall mount. When I tried to install the mount and TV, I realized that the screws that are needed for the back of the TV are not standard at all, and had to go to Home Depot to find ones that would work. Once I finally got it mounted, everything looked great, but the TV wouldn't turn on. I eventually realized that because of the placement of the remote control receiver (directly in the middle at the very bottom), TVs mounted right above cable boxes won't receive a signal. After a few days of having to stand up every single time we wanted to push a button on the remote, I purchased a signal extender so that we wouldn't be inconvenienced any longer. I realize that not everyone mounts their TV, so it won't always be a problem, but it was extremely frustrating, and I hope that newer models will easier to work with. Thanks.

If you are using the cable box remote to control the TV, it may not be sending clean IR signals to the TV. Please switch to the TV remote.
Since the IR is under the TV bezel, the remote control needs to be in line with the TV level.
Weak batteries may also be the cause. Please check the batteries of the remote control.

This TV was easy to setup and also helped me with setting up channels that i buy separately. I will say that the Manual wasn't all that good but I went to Samsung's website under support and downloaded the full manual that walked me thru what I wanted to know. I recommend this TV.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

The TV has no casting option which was build in function in my old model !!!! Direct WiFi is not working as well .... I am disappointed & not recommending it at all
Pros: Realistic color, Built-in speakers
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

The NU7100 TV does come with casting/mirroring function for Android devices.
Simply download the Samsung SmartThings app and you are ready to go!
If the function does not work via the SmartThings app, please try using it via the SmartView app instead.

Beautiful picture. Vivid colors. Sharp detail. This TV really does upscale HD programming to 4K - or at least makes it better. After reading many reviews on this site and other sites I chose this TV over others. Setup was easy. Two things I did before setup was to purchase a premium, high speed HDMI cable as my other cable was HDMI 1.0 and download the latest software update and store it on a USB stick. After setup, I immediately updated the software. So, so far I have experienced none of the complaints that I have seen in other reviews. I started with Dynamic picture setting and adjusted it to our preferences from there. Everyones taste will be different so don't be afraid to make adjustments.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just received this TV today a 40 inch NU7100F ,WOW EZ to use and set up right out of the box .I can def see the difference in UHD TV and this modl is perfect for watching TV internet or streaming video.WIFI works perfect and its so much more than just a HD TV.You wont go wrong buying one of these models.I am so beyond happy at this point. Positive point all the way around!!!
