Can’t connect with app. It keeps saying enable WiFi. Did that still not working.

Was hard to setup, once I got setup I couldn't leave plugged in even when not using as I would get "low power". I then accidentally pushed the pair button and have not been able to use ever since. got for christmas so dont have receipt

Bought the speaker (second one) for my parents. Because they are technically challenged, I was just able to make the trip and get it set up for Alexa. I was able to get it set up, but none of the manual controls work on the side of the speaker . Therefore, volumes and other features must be controlled from the phone. It’s too inconvenient to replace, so they are just living with it.

aux,BT and wifi mode

Can someone tell me how this works? It looks like if I am in this mode, I can't voice play anything nor access Alexa?
The aux also does not support any external speakers? I really need info on this please.
Because I am very disappointed with what I found out. Can I still return this if I threw away the box and receipt?

Dear customer,
If you're in Wi-Fi mode, but can't access Alexa, make sure you have downloaded the Amazon Alexa app and logged into your account or created a new account. You can't use Alexa Voice Services if you aren't logged into an Amazon account. You will then need to download the iLive Wi-Fi app, which will walk you through how to connect the speaker to Wi-Fi. The speaker and device you are using must both be on the same Wi-Fi Network.
The aux in is for connecting non-Bluetooth/Wi-Fi devices.
