First product of this kind i have ever purchased seems to do all that is advertised but the battery life is miserable, instructions are vague, charge light stays on constantly when charging, never goes off until charger is unplugged. Portability is an issue unless you can plug it into a power source, probably look to upgrade in the future. Definitely entry level.

Disappointed about the battery life but it was expected based on the reviews.
I’ll be returning the speaker because I cannot ask it to play Spotify, the app is not supported and that is the main reason I wanted a smart speaker was to control music through that app. Very disappointed that the speaker doesn’t support one of the most popular music apps.

Nice Price, weak quality

These devices paired fine, sound nice, BUT don't integrate into home automation systems like a regular Alexa, and the Micro USB connections are a horrible idea. They should have opted for something more durable like a Lightning connection or something. Bought 6 units (the max), and now have two that are dead because the Micro USB adapters are so fragile! Very disappointed.

You get what you pay for

I was really excited about this product. I have an Echo Dot and was contemplating purchasing the more expensive Echo with speaker. This looked like a slightly less expensive alternative.
Set up was fairly easy. Once the unit connected to my internet, an update to the latest OS was performed. I was excited to see that Pandora was now an option on the phone app. Sadly, Alexa informed me that this was not option for her. Strike 1.
Not a deal breaker. I simply chose to create an account with Spotify. Once this was completed and I was able to hear some music, I found the speaker quality lacking - not much better than a cheap bluetooth speaker. Perhaps the ability to adjust bass/treble levels via the app would help. Strike 2.
While listening to Spotify, I asked Alexa to "pause" so I could answer my phone. She paused for 1 second and then proceeded to play the song once again. I tried the command several times with the same results. Strike 3.
I am returning the unit today, so cannot testify to the quality of the battery.
The concept here is admirable. However, if your speaker is not truly Alexa compatible, it shouldn't be marketed as such. I'll pay the few extra dollars to get the full experience.
Thanks for the attempt, tho! I'll be watching to see if there are future improvements.

1. Pandora will eventually be available with a software update. This is something all manufacturers of Alexa capable devices are waiting for from Amazon.
2. While we understand that bass and treble control would be nice, the Echo doesn't have a feature like this so we chose not to include it.
3. If she didn't pause your music it's likely that you were playing Spotify directly from your phone and not through Alexa's service, in which case she wouldn't be able to pause the music.
4. Our speaker is Alexa compatible. Amazon had to approve all of our specs, packaging, etc. for it to be badged with the Amazon Alexa logo.

Sirrius XM not supported

Bought from tv shopping channel thinking this would be great to stream my Sirrius XM music via wifi. No way. Only has limited options via wifi. Guess if it was used with Bluetooth it would be able to but that defeats some of the portability. Device looks nice and easy to setup to wifi. Also Alexa feature would recognize a request for stock quote and moments later not be able to perform same request. Disappointing as this would have been setup for disabled husband to get info without needing computer access.

I bought this speaker to start up my smart home life without going out and spending over 100$ and let me tell you this is a no brainer if you have smart electronics controllable by Alexa this will cover you. but if you want to listen to music look elsewhere because this speakers sound quality is terrible but still better than the echo dot.also it can't do some of Amazon echoes functionalitys like calling another echo.and even though this is portable the battery is very low at full charge it would last me about 1hr at 100% and 2hrs at 50%.overall a decent little speaker for beginners.

If playing music through WiFi the speaker will use a lot more power compared to listening through Bluetooth, so staying plugged in when using WiFi and not needing portability is recommended.
