app doesn't work. apparent wide-spread issue that's been reported for quite a while now, with no resolution. i guess no one is home. DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM TIS COMPANY.

Haven’t been able to use, the app will not work!

Have been trying to connect with the Ilive app for over a week. Was able to speak to someone and said it will be another week before the app is updated and ready to use. This was a gift.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't connect upon inital setup.

Doesn't enable WiFi Conncetion.... Please enable WiFi connection then search again. Doesn't connect to Amazon Fire, Comcast, or Sirius or really any other device. Couldn't even get the Bluetooth to connect

Routines

Giving to me as a Christmas gift. The speaker sounds is pretty decent, but I am a little upset that I can’t “drop in” on other contact alexa thru the speaker but it will do it there the app on my phone...Not the same though. I also am wondering why is it that when I try to set up “Routines” it asks me to choose a device, but my iLive speaker does not show up as an option

Currently, third party Alexa enabled devices don't have access to Routines. Amazon has kept this and a few other features exclusive to their ecosystem. However, all the functions of what you might set up as a routine are accessible. For example:
Example: “Alexa, Good morning”
Routine: Reads flash news, traffic report, and turns on coffee pot.
Enabled: “Alexa, turn on Coffee” “Alexa, Read flash briefing” “Alexa, Traffic report”

Good speaker, tough integration

I received this speaker for Christmas and have been enjoying it thus far, I have had little issues with it. However, the Alexa commands for the speaker seem to be lacking. When asking the speaker to play music, specifically Spotify, it responds with a message that Spotify is not supported on the device. The only way to play music is using my phone through Spotify connect.
I would like to be able to ask my speaker to play specific artists in my Spotify library, and to be able to requests music without the use of my phone.
Other than that, great product

I like the speaker but having some issues

My daughter received the ilive platinum speaker as a Christmas gift and she has been using it fine with only issue being the battery life. Last night i suggested after the speaker going completely dead to try charging it overnight plugged in around 11pm and unplugged around 4am when i woke up, now speaker wont turn on at all shows red light when connected to charger but still wont turn on while connected to charger either. Very frustrating. My daughter is autistic so she likes to use the Alexa for easy ways thru her favorite apps and music.
