Not worth it, buy a real echo with Alexa

I received this new as a Christmas gift and it stopped working the 25th of March (exactly 90 days of use). It has always had a low battery warning, never really charged and was therefore always plugged in. I called to ask the technical department what they thought and they were not able to fix the issue via phone. The unit charges just enough to turn on, but will almost immediately shut off. ILive e-mailed me to ask for proof of purchase (to check the date I presume) and when I responded that it was a gift and that I just want it replaced they completely ignored me (the website states that they will respond within 24 hours. It has now been 5 days and I have heard nothing from this company. Looking through other reviews, I am not the only one experiencing these problems so I just decided a poor review was in order (maybe they will respond now).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
