Nothing to get egg-cited about

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is a big plastic egg that opens. It has a slide, swings, & a few other little places you can put a Hatchimal. The product comes w/ 1 Hatchimal. The way the package was worded, the kids thought it came w/ 3 so they were disappointed.
It is well constructed & durable for younger children. It appears to be all plastic, so I wouldn't mind if they wanted to use it as a bath toy.

After about 5 minutes of playing w/ it at the kitchen table, my 11-yo daughter was bored w/ it. My 7-yo son played w/ it for a day. He's very into Star Wars legos, so if there was a Star Wars product like this he would have been hooked.
If your child is addicted to Hatchimals, they would like this product. Otherwise, it's just another toy on the shelf.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Super Cute and Fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Secret Scene Set is a lot of entertainment in a deceptively small package. It takes a bit of creativity to open it up, be warned, and the creatures that inhabit it are very tiny.
It has so many options to inspire creative play, like slides, swings and even a merry-go-round, all contained in a transportable size. Some of the characters can even ride inside. My daughter loved making up scenes and giving them "recess". It was an excellent car toy as well, and travels well.
It's very sturdy, and holds up to even excitable play, and the creatures are incredibly cute, sporting sparkly wings and other sweet traits. This is a lovely little set, and very enjoyable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Full of surprises!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids absolutely loved this toy. They immediately ripped it out of the package and tried to figure out how to open the egg. While doing so they found the viewing hole at the top of the egg and saw the cute little hatchimal scene. When they opened it up they loved all the neat little places where the hatchimals could play. The toy is very durable and has already survived being dropped several times both opened and closed as my daughters fought over who got to play first. The designs and colors on the inside are not just stickers they are very well done. The toy is a great addition to our hatchimal colleggtible collection.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hatchimals are now in my life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter, who is now 5, missed the first Hatchimals craze, so she did not have any Hatchimals before we got a CollEGGtibles Secret Scene Set. She has since discovered that several of her friends have Hatchimals, and she loves the idea of them, and had been asking for anything having to do with Hatchimals.
At first, I thought that the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Secret Scene Set would not hold her attention for long. It is really just a plastic egg that opens, and it comes with just one mini Hatchimal figure. The box doesn’t make it seem very exciting- it was clear that it only came with one figurine, and that I’d probably be asked by her to invest in others. The secret scene is neat the first time, but I didn’t think it would be interesting to look at after that. It just didn’t seem to me like the toy DOES a whole lot, by looking at the packaging. So I didn’t think my daughter would play with it much.
But I was so wrong! My daughter was very excited to receive this toy, and she LOVES playing with it! She seems to feel a sense of accomplishment every time she opens the doors to the egg. And again when she gets it closed. She also loves showing family and friends how to look through the top of the egg to see the secret scene. Even though it only came with one Hatchimal, she loves putting that little guy into all the places it can sit inside the egg. And she likes to play with the CollEGGtibles Secret Scene Set alongside other small toys. Here’s a quote from her: “it’s really fun to play with.”
The Secret Scene Set has totally turned her on to the whole Hatchimals craze, so I’m sure there will be more Hatchimals in our lives now. The CollEGGtibles Secret Scene Set is cute, she enjoys it, and it doesn’t take up a lot of room- which I like as a parent!

The magic happens once you look inside

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been all about the Hatchimals with our girls at home. When the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Secret Scene Set arrived the girls couldn't wait to dig into it. Getting it out the the package is always a challenge but wasn't so bad overall. We looked over the packaging and were excited to peek in the top to see the scene before we opened it all up. There is only one Hatchimal included so he was fought over at first but we have plenty more where that came from. Soon the other Hatchimals came over to check out the new play space. The product is very well made and the colors are bright and welcoming. This product compliments the other Hatchimals items we have at home. This has also become a go to product to take with us when we are going the doctor or other places we might have time to wait. It folds up nice and is easy to travel with. We just love the Hatchimals!!

Short attention, easily portable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old was so excited to open this and play with it.... for 5 minutes before moving on. I think the idea of this is good, however it just didn't keep her attention for long.
I do love how portable it is though! We were able to bring this when we went to visit grandma in the hospital without worrying about losing a bunch of pieces.
