I would have given it 5 stars but the surface is not smooth and will scratch easily. But kids are grown and gone so not a deal breaker

Pooling water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Getting ice from the front of the door is a problem. We are guessing it's melting ice that pools there and when you open the freezer door. Water gets all over the floor. First time we have encounter this type of issue. It's a pain to constantly wipe water off the floor or to wipe it up from the door before you open the freezer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is cheap! It came with the house I bought. I wouldn't have made the purchase myself. It makes noise when it's running - it sounds horrible! And I have it on the coldest refrigerator setting and items in it still aren't even that cold!!! I think it will be breaking down soon.

Cheapest Fridge the Home Builder Could Find

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fridge came with the newly constructed home. It would not have been my first, or even my 5th choice. Small capacity, loud when compressor is running, and narrow ice/water dispenser make this fridge a poor choice. Functionally it works well and does it's job. The ice/water dispenser is very poorly designed and tends to spray water all over the floor if your glass is not exactly lined up. There is no capacity to hold overflow water in the tray underneath the dispenser and any overflow water ends up running down the door of the fridge to the floor which necessitates a mat underneath to catch the water.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This brand new refrigerator came with our new house. We moved in the beginning of August and the refrigerator stopped cooling and needed repair and replacement of 2 parts on August 13. After the parts were replaced, the refrigerator failed again on September 1 for the same reason. I cannot possibly tell you how upsetting it is to move into a new house and receive a refrigerator that never worked from the start. I requested a replacement upon the first failure and was told that the policy is to repair before replace. How is that acceptable when the refrigerator was NEVER used?! I hope someone from Whirlpool actually reads this and does something to correct this because I cannot possibly rate a “brand new” refrigerator that never worked to begin with.
