The ease of switching from gas to charcoal is terrific. It's very well designed overall. Unfortunately the ignition never worked, but it works fine with a lighter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like the concept of gas to light your charcoal, but it’s too close to the racks to cook your meat. The charcoal needs to be able to go up and down..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have the three burner model of this and I have to say it has been a fantastic grill. It has a solid lid that is much thicker than the new CB grill. Even the commercial and pro series they make now are a much thinner cheaper steel.
I have had it for going on 8 years with no the best care mind you and I just not had to change the burners. The gauge went out pretty early and I had to get a new grease pan along with normal rust spots like thin metals pcs. ( which there a few of) Everything else worked fantastic for 8 years. All it really needs is some new parts and it is good as new.

P. S. I never used the charcoal feature due to me having a Weber kettle but I image it works decently.
If you want a good decent grill that is more sturdy than these other cheaper stainless still gas ones then go with this!

Love it, such a cool grill! I love that I can either grill using just gas or charcoal! Super happy with it!

Amazing and really reliable! I have owned this three burner for about over 8 years and came onto here to find a bottom for my firebox but unfortunately the grill I have is discontinued. Thinking of upgrading to the 4 burner one just because I love this grill and setup so much. Having 3 grills in one is really amazing! Gas Cole or rotisserie. You name it on this grill and I feel I can make it.

It looks pretty solid and realiable. Manual was really clear and building it up was quiet easy process. I already used it 4 times and it never failed. Control the temperature it's easy and allow great flexibility. I'm still kettle enthusiast, but I have to say that with Gas2Coal was really huge leap forward!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought the 4 Burner Gas2Coal about a month ago. Best Purchase of the summer, lots of cooking surface and the switch to coal was easy. My Steaks and chicken have gone up a notch by far, the clean up was even easier, just take the coal tray out and dump the ash into the garbage....i BBQ one half of the grill on coal and the other with gas....it was a delight...love this thing.

I've had this one close to 5 years and love it. Took a few times to get the hang of it, but everything I cook now is perfect. Coals stay hot for hours, and if I need a little more heat, the gas does the trick.
I would recommend this to a friend!
