excellent watch

I love all garmin models I've been using them for 5 years. and I always try to have the best of the line. with the 645music I said they ate it, everything Perfect until you get to the track, it becomes erratic where it is supposed to mark 1000 meters it marks me 1060 meters and so on it is the only complaint of the rest A +

We wanted to reach out regarding the distance reading you are seeing while running on a track. There are chances for some inaccurate GPS distance when running on a track due to the location of the satellites in the sky as the move compared to you staying in relatively the same location. A couple recommendations would be to try and stay in one single lane while running and ensure you have a 3D satellite signal prior to starting the timer. You can do this by waiting about 30 seconds after the device reports acquiring a signal. Waiting the extra times ensure that you have a full 3D lock on the satellites.

Good but not great

Music transfer with the Garmin Express app does not work. After playing several songs, the watch software freezes and has to be power cycled to resume function. Technical service has been responsive, but has not fixed yet.

Great smart watch

To begin, I’ve been running with Garmin watches for over 7 years now. I use them mostly for running, but I cycle, mountain bike and swim to cross train. When this watch came out I was very excited that I’d be able to listen to music wirelessly without having to carry a phone. When I got the watch and tried it out during a run, everything worked flawlessly and still does now. The battery life is pretty good(will last around 5 days with using gps approx. 3-4 hours) and it does charge very fast.
The options in this watch are pretty endless. You can download different apps and change a lot of the preferences to personalize it the way you like. The one thing I did find useless was the Garmin Pay. The fact that you have to enter in a code before you use the card doesn’t make it quick at all. As of now, it doesn’t support every credit card handler too, so it’s very limited for what you can put on there for a card. The idea is great, it just needs to be easier to use.
For the GPS part of the watch, I did notice it’s not as accurate as my last Garmin watches. I’ve been on runs with groups and it’s been off over a tenth to a quarter of a mile before. I’ve also noticed it’s not as stable with pace as my Fenix 3 is. The pace tends to dip and spike a lot when I know I’m running a steady pace at those times.
Overall I do like the fact that this is a watch that you can use for everything, I just feel like these new watches are geared more as a “smart watch” and the gps technology has just stayed the same.

The pin is required as a security feature. This would prevent someone from obtaining your watch and using it to purchase things. I love this running watch!!!

I bought this watch in March and have used it for the past 3 months. I love the way it look. I am a petite female with a small wrist. So it looks much better than the FR235 that I was using. My runs are accurate. I like that I can create a workout in the app and send to my watch. I have worn this watch everyday since I got it 24/7. I have a few minor scratches on the silver part, but no scratches on the screen. And I have hit it a couple times on the molding of doors. Screen seems to be holding up very well. I do use the Garmin HRM chest strap
with it. I like the added features. I have been working to improve my VO2 max and Lactate Threshold. Using the watch and paying attention to the heart rate and pace have helped out. Occasionally I will go on a run and my heat rate will cut out and than reconnect. But if this happens on my next run I make sure to tighten it the strap up which fixes it. i have been able to load music. I could not get it to show playlist through iTunes from Garmin express. I could see my songs but not a playlist I made. I use windows media player instead. I make the playlist in media player. Then when I go to Garmin express and then music, the playlist is there. Yes battery life is not the best, but it’s about what you would get with all other competitors. When I take a shower I charge it and this always keeps me charged up.
If you are looking for a running watch that finally is nice to look at, that can help you accomplish your running PRs then this is the watch for you. Only complaint I have is I have an iPhone and I wish I could respond back to a text. Even just the basic stuff. I am in the medical field and this would be very useful when I am with a patient. That is literally the only thing I don’t like. But hopefully Garmin is trying to fix this.

Bluetooth connection

I love the watch and its features, running stats are great and the GPS works good, I love the music feature but every time I go for a run im getting disappointed all over again
