Very Accurate GPS

I really enjoy using this watch and how accurate it seems to be. However, I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't so complicated to load music onto it. Very frustrating.

Not intuitive - buttons and menu very frustrating
on August 12, 2018

Which buttons to press and when is very confusing. For example, when I finish a run and stop the watch using the upper right button, then the bottom half of the screen says "Save" with a triangle pointing down. However, there is no button on the bottom of the watch face - so which button to save? I pushed the upper right one again - no luck. I thought the upper and lower buttons on the left side of the watch face would scroll through the menu and the button on the middle left would select an option, so then maybe that middle left button would always be the select button. That didn't save the run either. I still can't figure it out - I gave it to my husband to use. I wouldn't recommend this.

Hello runnershannon,
Thanks for taking time to review the Forerunner 645 Music. We are sorry to see that you are having trouble with the device keys on the watch. When saving and activity on the watch you can highlight the Save option and then press the upper right button. This is the key that is used to make selections on the device. The two buttons on the lower left side of the watch are used as the Up and Down keys. Pressing and holding the Up key also allows you to access the menu. For more information on the functions of the device keys, please use the following Owner's Manual link:
Bought this last week. Can get it to record my runs but it won't synch. I wear it at night but it won't record my sleep. Looks great though. Like the size and feel. Recorded my run and seems accurate. But it was purchased to dovetail with Training peaks which is impossible so far. Disappointing. Frustrating.

Great GPS watch but problems in Singapore
on August 17, 2018

I bought this one after the 620 and the 630 Forerunners previously and it's a great development of that range. The non-touch screen is definitely better than the 630 approach (though I loved that at the time). Screen is also really bright. Problem is that neither Garmin Pay or the music service are well-supported in Singapore. Garmin Pay only with OCBC bank and music only by copying music files across (does anyone have "music files"these days?) with no streaming services supported. iHeartRadio app not available in Singapore, for example. No Spotify or even Deezer. Hopefully in time these things will change as Garmin seems to be building its presence here.

The Bluetooth connection isn’t great. I think I prefer the Apple Watch.

I was upset immediately after the purchase. one of the buttons crunches and works badly. Smart watches are more expensive than the apple watch, and quality control is very poor.

Overall Good - Had a problem
on September 13, 2018

Watch looks good, apps are steady, feels great on the arm, while setting up the watch even before doing any sport: the "up" button got different from the rest of the buttons, the pressure used for this one is different, it is as if the button has lost the spring that places it back to the unpressed position. I would hope for this behaviour after a few weeks or months of use, maybe years(?) not the first hour…anyway, if been having fun with it, it is my running companion. No problem with music or headphones, everything works.

Love it for New Runner

Not sure I know how to use everything yet, but already compared to my Apple Watch, I am amazed. I was able to download a training plan directly to the watch from Garmin Connect and out the door with no iPhone. I do wish my current headphones did not drop out (only with the watch on my left wrist).
