Disappointed with this purchase

I bought this watch 3 days ago and used it right away. I went on a 7 mile run and forgot to start my watch. I was about 0.75 when I finally started the tracking. My watch somehow tells me after my 7 mile run with the marathon training team that I ran over 8 miles. I stayed with my team the entire time. Not sure what I’m doing wrong but I’m disappointed.

Thanks for posting your review of the Forerunner 645 Music. We wanted to take an opportunity to address the concern you mentioned regarding the accuracy of your watch. There are a couple of things that could cause the device to get inaccurate GPS signal. One potential cause of this could be getting a GPS signal while moving. There are situations where if moving when a signal is acquired could cause a spike in the signal and extra distance is added. We would recommend that a GPS signal is acquired prior to starting the timer. Another suggestion would be to ensure that the software is up to date. You can use Garmin Express (www.garmin.com/express) on your computer to ensure that all updates are installed.

horrible watch

sorry garmin but this watch is garbage.
wifi doesnt work.
bluetooth is spotty at best.

Love the watch, don’t bother w/the music feature

I love some of the new features this watch has to offer, but I bought it for the ability to listen to music or podcasts without using my phone. It was a complete waste of money for that purpose. I tried it with a few different pairs of wireless headphones (including one of Garmin’s recommended pairs) and switched my watch hand as recommend, but they still continually cut in and out or dropped connection all together and had to be re-paired. In addition, needing to plug the watch into the computer to load files was not at all convenient. I know I could have bought the non-music of the watch, but I should have just stuck with my 235. Now I’m back to just running with my phone for music and podcasts.

Outstanding Device but...

I would be nice if the software to the watch could be upgraded so that a golf app could be used. The watch has gps, why golf isn't an option is mystifying.

No music

I haven’t been able to synch my music or my wireless headphones successfully. I’m considering returning the watch.

Impressive- but could be better

Upgraded from a Garmin Forerunner 235 to a Forerunner 645 Music, pretty impressive difference- Garmin Pay is pretty schmick!
I upgraded mainly because i wanted the music feature, however has been a bit disappointing- To top it off, this watch needs to pair with Spotify to make it one of the best watches out there!
