Great heater

This heater has more than met my expectations, it really puts out the heat. I live in a two bedroom apartment and I keep my heat pump set to 50 degrees so it will cut on over night to knock the chill off and make sure the pipes do not burst because I have an electric blanket, and during the day I use my Holmes Heater in the living room and my heating bill has not been over $80.00 and I stay toasty warm

Wonderful heater

First of all, I was very impressed with how the heater was packed for shipping! I just pulled it out of the box, looked at the rules, turned it on , and got the most wonderful heat! I am so pleased!

Heater works great, WEMO not so much.

The heater function works great. Wemo needs improvement. It was difficult to get connected to my Wifi and it doesn't stay connected. Wemo functionality is limited. I can't create a schedule that works for me. No IFTTT integration. Buy the heater without the Wemo and save some money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quality heater with modern features

I've been using the Holmes Smart heater for about a month now. It's been working very well. My first impression was that it's large for a heater, but most of these quartz heaters are this size. And while it's not modern looking, it's not bad looking either. It kind of looks like a sub woofer speaker box from my stereo sound system.
As for performance, it works great. It produces ample heat and throws it outward quite well. I also like the easy to use thermostat controls and digital readout on the front of the heater.
The wifi connectivity of the heater works okay for me. Using the Wemo app I can check or control the heater via a tablet in the house using wifi or even via a cell phone using 3G. Frankly, I'm not sure how often I'll actually use the wifi connected feature of the heater, but it's nice to have it as an option. It really depends where and how you're using the heater, as to how useful you'll find the wifi connectivity of it.
The heater is clearly well built. I've used quartz heaters before from other manufacturers and they've had very loud blowers and vibration noises. This Holmes heater is much quieter than others I've had.
Bottom line... It's a good quality quartz heater, that also has the neat modern feature of being connected to the internet.

I bought two large heaters for 2 rooms in my house. 1 heater per room. So far it has been working great although I have no used ifttt with it at all. The only problem I am having is sometimes it takes a second to find the heater in my master bedroom while I'm at work and using my iPhone. I could probably attribute that to my wifi but it is debatable as I have a small 2 bedroom apartment. So far no complaints.

I bought the "Extra Large Room" style to help heat my finished basement and I was shocked at how quickly it heated 2,000 sq ft in my walk out, finished basement. I never have to worry again when we have guests for overnight or longer. I;m so glad we bought this unit.

Great remote access. Heater is ok

The wemo is awesome. I was looking for a nice efficient heater for my daughter's room, located in my basement with a built in timer. The timer is nice because I have it shut off during day and kick back on at night. I'm not a huge fan of how hot the air is coming out of the front. I know its a heater and that's what it does, my cheap quartz heater moves more air but wont burn you like this one will. The fan is much louder on the Holmes heater as well.
