Not worth the Price

I purchased the large one and it arrived defective so I spent more money and purchased the XL heater. What a waste of money! The unit does get warm but the fan isn't powerful enough to heat the room. For the money I paid I expected this to heat a room 12X12 easily and when the Holmes heater is on it can't get it warmer then 60 here in New England. Save your money and buy a different one with a better blower!

Awesome Heater!

We've been using the Holmes Smart Heater for about a month and are loving it. We placed it in several rooms of the house before settling in the master bedroom. Had it in the guest room for a while - my guests really enjoyed being able to change the temps their needs. I may buy another to keep in there. We are very happy with how well it works, the digital thermostat and the fact that it is extremely quiet. It's not too big so it fits in nicely too.
At first I had trouble with the WeMo app on my phone but finally got it figured out but I don't use it very often. I think to have a regular remote control for when just at home would be a nice bonus so you could use it either way.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product 2 months ago and am very happy with the product. The fact that I can monitor the heater and set up a schedule from my smart phone using the WEMO app is very convenient. It also allows me to monitor the heater when I'm away which is great to prevent anything from freezing. My only complaint about this heater is that if the power goes out and then the power comes back on the heater will no longer run. The heater has to be physically turned back on. In my opinion that is the only shortcoming of this heater. Other then my one complaint I couldn't be happier with the product.

Love my Holmes Smart Heater!

I really enjoy using my Homes Smart Heater! I love the fact that I can program it from my phone and have my living room toasty warm when I get home. It took a few tries to sync the app with the heater, but I managed to figure it out and now it is easy to use. I also really like the amount of heat it puts out, and that the room feels warm within minutes of turning the heater on! The unit is stylish and looks good in my home, too! I received the Homes Smart Heater as a test product sample to review and love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can't turn off or disable Frost Protect?

I received the heater today and think I will be quite pleased with the wifi capability. The one concern is that I can't seem to figure out how to turn off the Frost Protect mode. I purchased the heater for a finished (but not insulated) shed so I wouldn't want it turning on itself. I only want the heater to be activated if I elect to do so on the app. Should I be able to disable Frost Protect? If not, it kind of defeats the purpose of the Wemo if I need to completely shut the heater down in between use.

Heater works app does not

The Holmes extra large heater with WeMo went beyond my expectations as a room heater. First thing out of the box I was impressed with the aesthetics of such a large device being able to blend into a room like furniture. I was impressed by how much heat was circulated throughout my home within just 5 min of run time. The one thing I am not impressed with is the WeMo app and the way it works. The device will not turn off completely from the app and the controls within are very clunky. Discontinued using app after less than a week. It worked fine for a few days then stopped controlling the fan on the heater and needed to be shut down manually.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent heater

I have been using the Holmes Smart Heater with WeMo for about 3 weeks now. I'm very happy with the heater and the wireless feature is great. It's really nice to be able to turn the heater on remotely and walk into a warm bedroom. The unit is very well made and looks great, like a piece of furniture. It's fairly quiet. You can hear the fan running but it's not excessively loud. I should mention that I was given a heater to test in my home. This did not affect my rating at all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love this product!!

My husband and I love the Holmes WeMo heater. The app was very easy to download and program. The heater itself is durable, easily portable, and heats up our large room beautifully. The wheels on the bottom of the heater mean that we don't have to carry it from room to room- we can move it effortlessly. I love the fact that you can program it from your phone and it has an automatic shut off feature. The only downside to using wifi to program the heater is that it would sometimes lose its signal and would need to be reset, but it can easily be programmed manually. I would most definitely buy this heater again and recommended it highly!
Disclaimer- I received this product as a sample to review but would DEFINITELY buy it again!!
