Holmes Smart Heater is VERY Smart

Disclaimer: I received a heater at no cost to me for the purpose of evaluating it and writing a review. I have owned several space heaters over the years, so I expected this heater to function the same way as all of my previous heaters. My assumption was incorrect. This is a fabulous heater. I was intrigued by the Wemo capability, but I didn't think i would find a use for controlling a heater from my iPhone. Setting up the wireless capabilities required following printed instructions included in the box. These instructions were quite clear and well-written. I had my heater connected to my home wireless network and my iPhone in less than 15 minutes. The first thing that struck me about this heater is how whisper quiet it is. So many heaters blow like a hair dryer. This thing is so quiet, I couldn't tell that it was running when several feet away from it. The buttons and controls on the front of the unit are simply laid out and easy to use. As for the iPhone app, the controls were intuitive and there was practically no learning curve. I placed this heater in a room of my house that used to be a garage. This room has ALWAYS been notoriously difficult to heat. I live in upstate New York. We are currently in the middle of stretch of single digit and sub zero temperatures, so the heater had been put to a serious test. For the first time in the 15 years I've owned my home, I was able to maintain temperatures in this room that made the room hospitable to live and work in. I was amazed at how well this little box heated the room. As for my assumption that the Wemo connectivity would be of limited use, I was wrong. It was extremely useful to be able to monitor the temp in that room, adjust the heating level of the heater, and set schedules for it to turn on and off. At one point, I arrived at work and realized I had left it running. I was able to connect to my heater ... from my worksite many miles away ... and power it down. I highly recommend this heater. It has surpassed my expectations by a long shot. It will become a staple product to help my family face the tough New York winters.

Love My Smart Heater!

This is a very efficient and quiet heater. It heats up a large room quickly. It was easy to set up the app on my phone and its very convenient to use...even remotely! I like that it is on wheels and can be easily moved. The wood grain housing looks nice and is cool to the touch. I would strongly recommend this product! I received this product as a sample to review...and I truly do love it!

Heater gets job done app & wifi need help

The Holmes large room heater works great and heats a room as anyone would expect. It's easy to roll around and move from room to room. Not to heavy. Def gets job done. As for the web app to control your heater. That is where my concerns come in. The app has very little detail so good luck. Its basically a shot in the dark. Sometimes it works and changes them temp other times it has a mind of its own. It will work with iOS but android seem to have more issues AND you can only access it if the wifi button has been pressed to enable it physically on the heater. In all the heater works. Would I buy it because it has an app. No I don't think so. If app gets more detail to help people understand what is going on and if wifi automatically always connected when device is on then sure it would be a no brainer. Making life easier is what we all want. *disclaimer I was given this product as a sample to test and review

Love this heater

I use this heater in our basement and it is perfect! I love that I can see the current temperature and set it to where I want it to be. I also really like the fact that I can control it from my iPhone. It heats up the room faster than the radiator style heater that we used to have. I received this product as a sample to test out.

Love the product. Easy to use and set up. Looks good in the room no need to talk over the product it is very quiet. Only draw back was that I had to reset it my wifi a couple of times but other than that I love it.

Heating options galore

The Holmes WeMo Heater is a great, modern approach to an app-enabled heater. I was very pleased with the variety of options both manually and on the app. It puts out a good amount of heat for almost any size room. It operates quietly and connected easily to our wifi network.

I've been using this Holmes heater for slightly more than a month now and while at first i did encounter a few issues with a wifi setup, the unit haven't had an issue communicating with my iPhone for the last several weeks. All in all, i am extremely pleased with both the performance and aesthetic, it is quiet, powerful, reliable and good looking - what more can you ask for?

I love this heater. It works great and is mice to be able to control it from my ipad. I also like that I can program it and turn it on and off at a set time. It has a nice looking wood cabinet . It is very quiet when on and puts out a good amount of heat.
