Great Product!

This heater works great! I have an old house that is hard to heat but this one has done a great job at keeping my living room warm.The heater has a nice appearance and looks better than other heaters I have used in the past. The buttons and display on the front are easy to read and I can easily see the display from my couch across the room. The heater is not overly loud but it is also not silent. I found that when I was watching a movie I would put the heater into Eco mode so I would not have to hear the fan.
I love that this is a wifi heater. I have been able to check the temperature in my living room and make adjustments from bed. The setup was fairly easy and took only a few minutes to get the app synced with the heater. After the initial setup the app connected to the heater reasonably fast. I had a few hang ups (took longer than expected) with the app when I was changing the temperature or shutting off the heater but this was not a consistent problem. I found that I really liked that I could set a schedule for the heater to turn on and off. I also really like that the heater prompts me with a push notification when the heater is turned off at the unit itself.
Overall, I have really enjoyed this heater and the WeMo app.

Excellent Heater. Worth the money.

Full Headers Printable View Pros: the heater is very powerful and quick to warm up. With its strong fan, the unit has no trouble hearing up the largest room in my house in just a few minutes. It's also surprisingly quiet for its size. The app is very intuitive, lets you monitor your heater(and the temperature of the room) from anywhere, and has a nice timer feature for controlling the heater. Both the heater and app are easy to set up and use. Wifi set up was surprisingly easy and when unplugged and moved from room to room the heater automatically reconnected to my wifi. Cons: the app sometimes crashes and can be a little slow to connect if you close it. You can't use the timer function without the app and, other than the app there is no separate remote with the heater. Lastly, the unit is a touch heavy. Disclaimer: I received this heater for review.

Great heater

We use this heater in an upstairs bedroom to keep it warmer during the night. The heater works very well. The wemo remote and the daily schedule are very nice features

Great heater

The heater works well for heating our entire downstairs living area. The only downside is trying to get connected to WEMO. I've had trouble connecting since I received the heater several months ago as a sample to try.

Works like a charm

Upon receiving the heater, I was right off the bat impressed! The looks are fantastic. We have a room in our house, an addition that isn't heated. This heater has done the job and keeps this from warm all the time. I live where it is really cold so the heater is fantastic. Also the feature of being able to it from my phone...fantastic!! Thank you! I love the product.

Quiet, quick heat

Great heater but the app doesn't work like I'd hoped it would. First off, the heater has a retro feel to it. It's not ugly but it's not beautiful either. After you turn it on, it heats up rather quickly and runs quietly. I love the auto off timer feature but wish it could be set to 2 hours. The free app was easy to use and gave great instructions to integrate with my home wifi. I thought I would be able to use the app to turn on the heater from a different room but it appears I can only use the app to control the heater if the heater is already on. Bummer. It does have an on/off feature that you can set via the app. I don't find that feature beneficial for my personal use, although some may find it useful. Overall I like the unit but am disappointed by the app capabilities. I would like to note that I received a sample unit in exchange for testing and reviewing it.

Great retro styling, quirky app

I have to say I have a love/hate relationship with the Holmes Smart Heater with WeMo. So in saying that, I can say I love the product. The heater is stylish and fits in with my decor -- it is unobtrusive -- doesn't look like a space heater, even though it is. And it heats up my rather cold below grade 1st floor. I have it in a large room - 20X27 foot room and it definitely heats up the room so it is comfortable, even in the large space. I also like having the thermostat display in the front of the unit. Can you say "brrrr" when it is 58 degrees in this room? Well, that's time for me to turn it up and get it going.
So now on to the hate part -- well hate is a strong word. Confusion? Ineptness? I like to think of myself as rather technologically competent, but the WeMo app is confusing and I never know how I turn the darn thing up or if I've done it right. I've had a lot of fits and starts...but eventually get it. The smartest thing I did was set the scheduler -- at least it goes on and heats the room up just before I get home and turns it down to "frost mode" when I got to bed -- automatically.
With that said, not being able to turn it on via the app is a shortfall. I found that more bothersome in the beginning than I do now. With the frost mode, it basically goes into standby mode until it drops below 40 degrees...I'm fine with that. But it was unexpected. So now my only fear is that I'm going to turn it off -- really off -- by accident, because as I stated, the app makes me feel inept. I'm sure it is a user issue -- but I wish they had a better app.
The unit as a whole is a pleasant surprise. I really like the way it looks, I like the way it heats, and the app is cool. I received this product as a sample for the purposes of reviewing it, and am very happy with the product. It is one of those things that I didn't realize would make my life easier, but it does. Thank you Holmes for providing a great product.

Convenient seasonal heat!

This product is small, efficient and most of all Wi-Fi-enabled I love being able to turn the heat on before I get home via my phone.
